You are clicking the bottom slot of the machine, correct? If so, and Nancy keeps saying she needs to do the sorting and counting, then apparently there is some other action that you need to do before this. All I can recommend is to re-read the walkthrough to see what you might have missed, as I don't know what you have done/haven't done up to this point. Good luck.
