Both are fabulous games. If you liked the first game, you'll like the second! I agree with Gerry. I'll have to pull my mine out and give them another go! Right now, I'm replaying the Rhem series.

I'm playing them in reverse order. I started with Rhem 4 and it's running without a hitch on my Windows 8 64 bit machine. I did a straightforward install without any tweaking. We'll see how things go with the others. If they won't play in Windows 8 I'll give them a go on my virtual XP machine on the Windows 8 host.

I have a great time with the Rhem games. I usually have 4-5 pages of notes. So many things to get into. Anyway, Rhem 3 installed without any modifications and played well throughout the game. So Rhem 3 and 4 have a for playing on Windows 8. The only thing I had was a little bit of a static echo with the voices, which may not even be related to Windows 8.

"Both" games are GREAT games, I'v recently replayed Schizm(DVD) on my Win 7 and I loved every minute About The Rhem games and Win 7; Rhem 2 and 3 both work, at least for me with a Little tweaking. The fourth and last Rhem is on my "to play list" but I'll save it until a perfect moment. Cheers

The Rhem and Schizm games (and the like) are my idea of perfection. It is so sad that there are no newer games that are similar. Cue, only 4-5 pages of notes? I think I topped out at about 30 with Rhem 4. I have played 1 freebie game that you folks might like. It is called Abandoned. It is fun if you can put up with the small display. http://www.kongregate.com/games/krutovigor/abandonedThey have another good puzzley game called Mu Complex.

I tend to use graph paper for my notes in the Rhem games. It fits the bill most of the time to have a grid work. I played Abandoned last week. I really enjoyed it. I checked out Mu Complex and played it for about 10 minutes and see that it's something I definitely want to play. It reminds me of playing the old Infocom text adventures which got me into adventure games. Love it! Thanks for the recommendation.
Edit: Just finished Mu Complex. Great game. I hope Episode 2 comes out!
