While reading about the International Dark Sky week that occurred over April 13-19 over on Space.com another article caught my eye about a game being developed for multiple platforms and I wondered if anyone at GameBoomers was already aware of it. My apologies if so as I could not find anything on it, and again more apologies for not knowing where to post this.
The Game is called Habitat and if anyone is interested in more information can go to the website here: Habitat
To mention about the Dark Sky week a little more, if anyone appreciates the pictures they see of the night sky it is interesting and informational to look into (between gaming!). The way we use lighting at night impacts far more than just astrophotography. I have copied a couple of paragraphs from the article in Space.com below:
"Several areas in North America and Europe have adopted dark-sky preserves to protect astronomical imagery and the local wildlife.
The celebration of Dark-Sky Week started in 2003 out of the efforts of a high school student, Jennifer Barlow. This year's celebration takes place during the International Year of Light 2015, an initiative from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. UNESCO says the initiative "will highlight to the citizens of the world the importance of light and optical technologies in their lives."
Well it seems I need to learn how to link a web page
