The IHOGs are interactive. For instance, you find a key and use it on a padlock to open a box or cupboard and reveal another item on your list. The HO scenes may also contain mini puzzles that you must solve using hints elsewhere in the scene in order to reveal some of the items.

Another acronym you may see is HOPA, which is basically another way of saying IHOG - it stands for hidden object puzzle adventure.
