I am assuming that you are not located in the NY/DC area because they are preparing for a blizzard. I am home relaxing watching about 3-6" fall and I am off from school so I can just relax watch tv and be happy I did not plan to fly to NY this weekend.

I'm in VA, where we don't get a lot of snow. So love it, when we do. We're expecting up to 2'.

We have snow on the ground and it's falling lightly. We are not in the storm system so we just have our usual snow and cold.

TLC, my step-daughter lives in VA about 25 miles from DC, so she is right in the eye of it. She has her 4' tall snow gauge planted in the front yard and made sure her new snow-blower is ready to go. She estimates this to be a "20 skein" blizzard. That's knitter's speak for how many skeins of yarn will be needed!

Yikes, Draclvr. They're expecting a ton up there.

Yup... two feet minimum. She just posted a picture on Facebook and it's already snowing.

I love snow for about a day...two days tops...then I would rather it go away and stay in the mountains where it belongs.

It's 52 degrees here and rain in the forecast. Come to think of it, I could go for some snow right now.

I love snow as long as there is someone home who can run around and get everything we need and keep the fire going and all I have to do is look at it

In different areas around the county, we've got 2-5" so far and will get more tomorrow.

Not that much snow here in Pulaski, Tennessee... on;y about 3 inches.. it is the slush that is now freezing... I won't be going anywhere tomorrow... live on a hill...

We're definitely in the middle of a blizzard here. It reminds me of Syberia 2, when Kate would walk in the snow, leave footprints, and the footprints would disappear within seconds. The same thing is happening here. Luckily, it's Friday night, and I live on the top floor. A good excuse to stay in and game all weekend.

The snow is falling and the wind is howling! I'm staying warm by the fire . I've got a good book to read, a puzzle to start, and a game to play! What more could you ask for!

I wish we did have snow. We had sleet and freezing rain that coated everything and is impossible to get off.

We got around 10" so far and its still snowing. Here in VA, we don't get to see this often.

Somehow we didn't get any snow here at all. Very lucky.

I hope all of you that did stay safe.

Didn't get much but enough for the neighbors kids to slide and roll down the hills.. they are having a blast... me I keep going out sweeping and shoveling the steps and walkway so I can take the dog out and try to convince him that yes you can pee on the white stuff....

Send some snow our way, we need it. It's weird seeing everyone else getting so much, we should be hip deep in the stuff by now.

We're getting more than we have in a long time, here in VA and its still coming down.

Trail, we used to live in WI for 2 yrs.

Step-daughter got 15 inches where she is near DC. Got to use her new snowblower and is madly knitting little hats for the Little Hats, Big Hearts campaign for hospitalized children and babies with heart issues.

Draclvr, we got around the same amount here so far, we're about 20 miles west of Richmond.

She just posted on FB - 18.5 inches, snowing like mad with no sign of letting up.

That is a lot of snow Draclvr.

I love the step-daughters charity too. How neat.

we have had 2 feet of snow out here since November on our little ace and a half and now we are waiting for the snow plow to show up and get the road plowed husband loves it he just bought a brand new snow blower. oh well he is retired nice hobby for him in the winter. Dianne

We have at least a foot here with a bright moon casting shadows on newly fallen snow. It's beautiful!

Well the snow is done and I see a lot out, shoveling their driveways. Our driveway doesn't get shoveled, he lets the sun melt it. And I doubt we'll see any plows, they mostly just do the main roads, not neighborhoods.

Step-daughter is LOVING her new snow-blower and wishes she would have gotten it years ago! Haven't heard a final amount where she is, but it was at 20.5 inches last night about 7:00 her time.

Truly amazing... 20 inches!

Talked to step-daughter about noon and she said the official snowfall for Manassas, Virginia was 30 inches.

That's a lot of snow!! I'll have to see what the official snowfall is for here.

Our total is 17.5".

I know Ana but he's hard headed and I have a bad back, so I'm not gonna do it. My daughter has been packing it down, coming and going, so I think we can make it out.
