Once very strange series. I've only seen the first series. Apparently it changes location and characters each season but keeps the basic cast.

First season "Murder House" is set in a house in LA in which multiple murders have taken place, and every victim is stuck there. Some force keeps them from moving on.

At the start of the first season, the house is bought by a married couple with a teenage daughter. The first three people they meet, the real estate agent, a neighbor woman and her daughter, who keep coming in uninvited are the only visitors who are actually alive. The family doesn't know it but everyone else they meet on the property is actually dead. Their spirits are bound to the house but they can only be seen by the living when they want to be. Not every ghost is evil or dangerous. There's a nice twist near the end which I should have saw coming long before it was revealed but which I only realized as it was being revealed.

In one episode the daughter attempts suicide and is apparently saved by her boyfriend, only she wasn't. She died and failed to realize it since her spirit just stayed in the house. She wasn't the first ghost not to realize it was dead. I should have caught on sooner, there were clues, she didn't join her parents for meals, and a truant officer said she missed school for 16 days.

Ana has nailed it! Definitely not for the faint of heart. Lady Gaga starred in the Hotel cast last season after Jessica Lange left the series. My favorite was Season Three, Coven. Really loved my witches, especially when Kathy Bates joined the cast. I was disappointed to see that Jamie Brewer was not in the cast last season.

I liked one and three. The Hotel one I lost track of and will have to start from the beginning. Very gory and definitely not for young children. Heck, some of the stuff even I was shocked. Good stuff though.

Asylum: the people running it are the crazy ones.

Flashs back and forth between 2012 and 1964.

2012 Newlyweds who have a thing for haunted places enter the remains of an asylum. Some one attacks them.

1964 a white man is secretly married to a black woman. He wants to reveal the secret, she says the world isn't ready. Strange lights in the sky, the wife screams. Husband ends up in asylum accused of being a serial killer with last victim being his wife. He protests his innocence, says killers not human.

Nun thinks she runs the asylum. Asylum doctor thinks he runs it. Both should be patients. She thinks mental illness is sin and can be tortured out. He thinks science justifies any action.

At least one of the patients looks like she should come from the fourth season Freak Show.

I have a guess for ending already.
Click to reveal..
Will turn out the killers are aliens carrying out experiments on the primitive life forms they've found on this backwards planet. They have the doctor's same idea about science.

I really enjoyed season one but not so much after that and the last two years I just gave up on the show.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

I was right that aliens were involved but not about them killing people.

The final scene, flashing back 1o 1964 after the strange events in modern times, makes me wonder if the whole thing wasn't just a fantasy in the mind of the reporter Lana. Would make more sense than aliens fixated on an accused serial killer and his offspring, a medical doctor and a psychiatrist who are both crazier than the inmates of the asylum, a demon possessed nun and a female, black winged angel of death who kisses people to end their lives all being real.

Not even half way into first episode of the third season, Coven, and I'm already disappointed. Its perpetuating the myth of witches being burnt in Salem. No one was burnt alive, in Salem or in England for that matter. Salem was under British rule and British law called for hanging for witches not burning them alive. It was after they were already dead that British authorities often burned their bodies. Nineteen women were hung for Witchcraft in Salem and one man pressed to death, no one was ever burnt at the stake for witchcraft in Salem.

I think season three was my favorite! I'm thinking that in the midst of the supernatural and other bizarre events, historical accuracy is not a priority!

I had some sympathy for characters in the first two seasons, so far in the third I don't.

While mostly women were accused of being witches in the US and UK, in Russia it was mostly men.
