Thank you, Marian. I haven't bought a game in months. This weekend's BFG Sale will certainly help me today. I've always liked this series.

I'm about 3/4 through the game (which is fabulous, by the way!). I'm in the Underground Complex, at the Overseer Point. There is one of those "pipe rotation" sort of puzzles where you have to make the final layout match a nearby sketch of it. I am no stranger to pipe puzzles, and love them. Unfortunately, I don't see how to solve this one, based on the orientation of diagram and the possible configurations from rotating the pipes. I'm sure I must be missing something. Am I looking at it wrong? Can you create a solution that orients differently from the rotation of the sketch itself?
I have the CE version with a Guide to tell me exactly what to do, and you can Skip any puzzles you want to, but using either option is no fun. ha ha
BTW, I almost skipped this game because of the annoying pop-up "pats-on-the-back," but I'm glad I didn't. It is satisfyingly long, superbly complex, has wicked-devilish puzzles, and even the HOG scenes have a twist. I definitely will replay this one after enough time has passed to forget the details.

Thanks, Marion. That is what I had to do. Then I saw that there were "hidden" configurations in many of the pipes, and if you turned them several times, you could find the blanks you needed.
I finished the game yesterday. It is now in my Top Ten list. Yes, it has pop-ups and a secret object in each scene, but still well worth playing. LONG game, maybe one of the longest I've played, and the bonus game was satisfying as well (I had the CE version). There are lots of fabulous scenes and artwork, weather, animation, etc. Good travel map. The inventory sometimes is wonky, in terms of how it is to be used - even nonsensical at times - but that is a relatively minor aspect. The mini-games are excellent. Voice acting decent and not overdone. The story line is the usual Save-the-World-from-Evil theme, but on an alien planet. I definitely will replay this one in a year or so, when I will have forgotten enough of it to make it fun again. Superb game, overall.
