Good morning everyboomie. welcome

The good news is I woke up alive again today, and I have two days off. I'm glad I'll be able to enjoy these days alive and kicking. joy

The bad news is we have two months of sun, and 90's to 100 degree temperatures, very little chance of rain, and I can't stand the heat. frown

My saving grace? Air conditioning...................and blinds. grin

I think I must have been a mushroom in a previous life. sherlock

I just have to find something to occupy my time inside all day. I get weary of playing checkers with Pepper. rolleyes

She's a sore loser.

Maybe I'll find some wasp that are drunk on ferment, and glue their wings together while they're passed out. evil

Maybe I'll clean house. blech

It'd be easier to torch it, and build a new one. laugh

Have a happy day everyone.

Happy Hump Day ya'll puppy

Hot hot hot...weatherman said that Hundred word again.

Son had a hard dental appointment yesterday, so will be home today which means he can watch Keoki while I take Seagy to her vet appointment today.

Ana, you are like my sister. She loves the heat and the humidity. While I try to get out early, she plans her runs for 3 when it's the hottest. This level of heat and humidity makes me want to curl up in a ball and hibernate til it goes away. I remember living in this heat w/o AC and hope I never ever have to do it again. I hope you find something fun to do in the heat.

Joe, my idea for cleaning a house is sorta like yours. I always wanted a house that had water proof furniture (and everything else) and had tile floors in each room with a drain in the middle of the floor. Then you just turn on the overhead (ceiling mounted) water jets, and all the dirt and dust just goes down the drain. Turn on the 'blowers' and it's all clean and dry in a jiffy. I don't think anyone makes that type of house, but you never know. Maybe it will catch on. rotfl

Lazarus...he's going to be an independent kitty someday. Doesn't stick by mom now and only comes when he wants even if she calls him. HE comes to the communal food table all by himself. And the cat I'm calling Duplex, who lives down the street or wherever got up on the table while Lazarus was alone eating, and Duplex didn't show any signs of aggression. Nice. Didn't know if he was going to be a problem. All the rest of the Outdoorsies get along. Even the possums are semi-friendly with the cats. They just look at each other, stay a good distance (keeping their eyes on each other) and wait for their turn to eat.

Off to watch the progress on the old/new house across the street. It's driving me nuts with the terrible color. Yikes! I thought I would get used to it, but nope, not gonna happen. This is just the wrong color in the wrong neighborhood and stands out horribly. People are now driving by and stopping to take pictures of it! It's that bad. scared

Nan, hope your St. Louis visit is for something fun. I expect it will be a wee bit warm. If you bring that weather with you, they may never let you leave. I'll be right there.

Sorta, I hope the house grows on you!

Here's hoping my photo bucket thingy works. I'm not so good at this. Pictures of the 'house' and the kitty:

Double click on small picture will bring up large picture with caption.

THe house is a bit too blue for me but it's okay. Coming from the midwest it doesn't stand out here but I can see where you are coming from. It seems dark for such a warmer climate.

The kitty and Penelope are adorable! Love it! Thanks for sharing!
