Done something I haven't done in a long time, logged into the original Guild Wars and opened my character's birthday presents. Nothing exciting for characters 4, 5, or 6 years old. But for 7 year old characters they give you a mini pet randomly chosen from the first five years mini pets (Year 6 gives a tonic instead) and for his 7th Birthday, R O A D Rage my axe warrior got the mini Bone Dragon, the least dropped year one birthday mini. I never thought I'd get one. Other character's got repeats. I gave one of them away to another player who was on.
I haven't played Guild Wars 2 since I seriously got into Stars Wars: The Old Republic. Instead of waiting for years of updates to load, logging in and trying to find a group for the dungeon and probably dying a lot since I'm out of practice with GW2 skills, I found a youtube video of the fight against Zaihtan the Elder Dragon. You fight a lot of minions but the dragon himself is killed by shooting it with canons. I also watched a video of the second dragon fought in the game, that one had you actually beating on the dragon. I didn't see it but apparently their is a scene where your celebration is interrupted by the bad news that they very first elder dragon to awaken which hasn't done much in 200 years is finally on the move. And the villians from the original guild wars The White Mantel have returned and are trying to awaken one of their false gods again. One of the NPCs at the end of the second dragon fight says "Two dragons down, four to go". How many times can you fight a dragon and not get bored? My guess is the deep sea dragon which still hasn't been seen will be the last one fought. Middle of the ocean somewhere its not much of a threat.
I thought by now the Tengu (intelligent bird people) would have become a playable race, but apparently not.
