DC's comic book (excuse me, graphic novel) super hero TV series are linked. Having Green Arrow appear on Smallville led to the Arrow series.
Before The Flash begin Berry Allen appeared in two episodes of Arrow. Arrow makes guest appearances in The Flash after Berry becomes the Flash. I've seen a video clip of the Flash and Supergirl racing each other. Don't know if it will actually happen but they've been teasing an Arrow, Flash, Supergirl cross over.
I wish Marvel would do this. Somebody showing superhuman endurance and beating up criminals in NYC (Daredevil) should attract the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. but not only does Marvel not let its TV series characters appear in the movies (something I complained about in another thread) but they don't mention them in other TV shows either.(I'm still aggravated that its a one way street: movie characters can show up in Marvel's TV shows Nick Fury, Lady Sif and coming next season Ghost Rider, all appear in Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D but they wont bring Phil Coulson back into the movies or any other SHIELD agent from the TV series. Why do they assume the TV series fans will recognize and accept the movie characters on TV but not the other way around? Movie fans supposed to be stupid or something?)
BTW there's an article floating around the web about an actor who refused a role on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. because he knew how Marvel treats the TV characters, and he figured being in the TV series would mean he never gets a role in the Avenger movies and that's what he wants to be in. So they've shot themselves in the foot.
