Maybe I am not understanding. You blasted the hole to enter the secret room earlier.
The small key is by the elevator to the lab.

Let's clarify this (I presumed you have done this already):
- you entered the archive room by opening the metal door with acid at right hallway.
- there are metal cabinets on one wall.
- move the metal cabinet by lever by clicking on the groove on the floor by the left leg of the cabinet. Now, click on the cabinet to move it and expose a secret wall.
- see a crack on that secret wall after using a cramp.
- dynamite the crack. It just made a larger hole.
- catch a rat and combine it with new dynamite and use it on hole.
This should be enough to get you inside the secret room.

That's weird.
The entrance is just a hole right?
When you were there did you use the light switch and get-read the journal?

I don't know what else to tell you why you can't enter that room. It should be open.
Maybe a replay?

Billy Bob posted this - see if it works for you:
Went back and bought a hotdog with nothing on it. Go into the hotel and see ketchup on the far end of the counter. Get the ketchup and I believe at this point I went to the man sitting reading the paper. Go to the rear of the hotel, combine the ketchup and hotdog in inventory.

I also sent you a saved game.

Didn't you use a saved game earlier in the problem with the secret room?

In XP, it is in program files, NiBiRu folder.

The ketchup, if I remember correctly is on the right edge of the counter. It might be difficult to see, click on items there and you might hit it.

Not hard.
If you know the location of the NiBiRu folder now (it might be in C folder) - click on the icon of the one you need to download it. It should be in your download folder afterwards.
Then place the downloaded folder in the NiBiRu folder. Be sure to check the number of the label. Good luck.

Check the numbers. There should be no duplicate numbers for the sets.
Also they should be consecutive numbers.

In both download and online, you should have 2 files per saved game.
One is save.# and the other is savepic.#

The #'s in your file when those 2 files you downloaded and placed together with the other saved game files hould be in consecutive order and no duplicates.

---------
You might be not in a correct position to access/see the ketchup on the bar. Move around and see if you can get to it.

There's a saved game here for the colored balls puzzle - it is save #32 on the page, I believe.

Yes, download the #32 file to get your saved game. If for some reason that saved game doesn't work for you, MaG sent you one too. smile

I never would have finished this game without following MaG's walkthrough for this puzzle, step by step. scared

I am not sure why you would be getting that message about Starforce, which is a form of copy protection on CDs. I would suggest using MaG's saved game as your best/easiest way to get past this puzzle.

Think of the four radial arms as you would positions on a clock pointing to 12, 3, 6, and 9.

From the walkthrough:

Quote:
In the close up you’ll see the balls arranged in four radial arms at clock

positions: 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. If you look at the little arrows at each

clock position, you’ll see which colors are to finally go on the arms: 12

o’clock = red; 3 o’clock =green; 6 o’clock =white; and 9 o’clock = yellow.

I am thinking that maybe this video on YouTube will help you - the poster of this video says that he explains the puzzle and then shows how to solve it. Check it out and see if it helps. smile

I think it's great that you want to try to do the puzzle yourself.

As stated by drdel:

Ring:
The rings are mentioned as 1R (innermost), 2R (next ring from innermost, 3R (middlemost ring), 4R (second from outermost) and OR (outer ring).
Note that OR has the extra space to park a ball.

The step by step stated the positions like a clock - 12 o'clock, 3, o'clock, 6 o clock and 9 o'clock.

When you are told to L click and R click the mouse - it will move the rings clockwise or counterclockwise.

You can do the clicks anywhere on the STATED ring and the SPECIFIED number of times and CORRECT left or right click. This will turn it correctly. Then you will do the procedure for the balls in the stated clock position.

luck

For example: R mouse click 1R. At 3 o’clock position move all the balls towards the center
Right click anywhere on the innermost ring/center. It should turn once.
Then click on the balls that are at 3 o'clock position so that they move to the center. Since there should be an empty space at center now, you can move the balls that are innermost to outermost.

Do this step by step slowly and follow each step (maybe cross it off so that you won't skip a step).

Thank you, MaG. And years ago when I followed the walkthrough steps for this puzzle, I did indeed put a check mark after each step I completed. smile

click on 1R ----- The step that says left or right click at a specified row has a period at the end. That means that step is done when the action is completed to turn the ring.
to go to position ----------The next sentence is then the action for the balls at a specified position (like the clock position).

So in your post: 1R to go to 12 position
Click row 1 once.
Then go to the balls at 12 o'clock position and do what is stated in the step by step.

I checked the walkthrough again and noted that the outer ring is turned not by number of clicks but by clock position.

As stated in the walkthrough: The aim of the slider puzzle is to place the tiles with glyphs over the identical glyphs hidden under the tiles.

You move tile to the empty space to see what glyph is under the tile.
Then find the tile that match that glyph and place it on top of it.
Do this for all the tiles.

I can't remember that but if it is possible to save when you already started the puzzle - that might hold the glyphs to that original arrangement.

---------
It might be possible since I checked my saves and see that I have a start of puzzle and end of puzzle.
