I wondered if anyone can help with this game, which by the way I consider a very good game.I am at level 18 and a mage. I have practically finished the storm coast but I can't seem to start the quest
"reports of darkspawn activity". I finished the quest "cleaning house" and the quest "reports of darkspawn activity appeared on the war table, it lets me take it and choose the only card offered, but then nothing. travel dosn't light up, but the time starts to go down.

Merrick, I can't find anything specifically about this. Are there other quests in the area you could do? Maybe there is one that needs to be finished first?

This may be one of those quests that you don't actually do yourself; the relevant member of your War Council sends minions off to do the quest, and after the specified time, said minions come back with the result. Return to the War Room after the specified time and you should see what happened.

I have actually done,most of -hinterlands,fallow mire,the western approach,skyhold,redcliffe castle,storm coast,valroyal,haven. and a few of the circle quest,e.g. unfinished business, which takes you through a few different places.(that one I did to romance cassandra,I really need to get a life) but it wont let me or anyone else do reports of darkspawwn quest. I don't know of any other quest I have to do first

It is definitely a War Table operation; you just wait for the result.

So to paraphrase; This quest does not include the main character doing anything other than sending out a party member to deal with it (which is done when you selected the "card" representing that party member.) The operation is completed when the time is exhausted and said party member "returns."

Your perfectly right,I dont do anything, easiest quest I have done. I think that goes for a few others as well

Usually you'll get a reward of some kind, too. I managed to blow a few of these quests, with people getting killed, or raising the ire of some distant lord. Nothing that affected the game outcome, of course.
