Since we all seem to want murder mysteries, I note that Dark Canvas: A Murder Exposed is a good game and an actual murder mystery. If I think of others, I'll add them.

Also I'd be grateful if anyone can help me out finding the less obvious murder mysteries and/or detective stories.

I will mention Dark Cases: The Blood Ruby Collector's Edition, as it came out several years ago and might be less likely to be remembered. I haven't played it so can't comment on it otherwise.

One game that I have played more than once that I would consider to be a murder mystery is Death at Fairing Point: A Dana Knightstone Novel Collector's Edition. Now that I think about it, I guess all the games in the Dana Knightstone series are murder mysteries.

Punished Talents: Seven Muses Collector's Edition is another older game that would fall into the detective/murder mystery category.

I had the dickens of a time getting Blood Ruby to run on 8 or 8.1. I think I played with the system cursor and a small screen, something like that. Also I had to be really careful not to send it to desktop by clicking too low on the screen which was a pain. Good game though. If it weren't so pernickety, Blood Ruby would be one of my favorites.

I like some of the Dana Knightstones, especially Death and Betrayal in Romania.

I have tried but not gotten hooked on Punished Talents: Seven Muses. I'll give it another whirl.

Just thought of another older one - Angelica Weaver: Catch Me When You Can Collector's Edition. Quite a few people here enjoyed it. I thought it was quite good.

And in Reality Show: Fatal Shot Collector's Edition, you are a police detective. As I recall, there are no hidden object scenes in the game.

I really liked the James Patterson Women's Murder Mysteries. I wish they would make more of them.
