There's also some good help here. And on the easier level of difficulty of the game, you can skip some puzzles.

I thought the game played quite similarly to the other Tex games. Most of the players here enjoyed the game very much. Using the Smart Alex device that you get in the game, there is also the option to skip puzzles and get game hints. If you read the beginning of the walkthrough here on GameBoomers, it gives you some good information on how to play. Like the other Tex games, there are sections of the game that appeal more to some players than to others. The timed sequence in the compound in Pandora Directive is something that not everyone enjoyed, for example. Having said that, if you don't enjoy the game, you are certainly not obligated to play it. Players do not all like the same games.

I am not sure. It sounds like if you have done everything you are supposed to do that you are then taken to the Swamp House automatically. Take a look at the walkthrough again: Tex decides to talk to St. Germaine hoping that he could get some information about the notorious Tesla Egg from him. After blowing Ariel's cover, she then explains about the Tesla Legacy Society. After the FMV, another one follows where Tex comes over to The Resort after Ariel invites him to 'share information'. After she starts walking toward you, you will have three options. Now, the choice you make here will affect your future relationships, and some FMV's as well. Be it either with Taylor, Chelsee, or Ariel. Pick the option of your preference and have some popcorn. Left-most option is for Chelsee, the middle one is for Ariel, and the right-most one is for Taylor. After you take your pick, someone knocks on the door.Guess who it is? Why, if it isn't Taylor! Oh wow, Tex will have it rough. Ouch. Pick your option and according to the option you picked, a FMV will follow. After the FMV, Tex arrives on the outer yard of Margaret Leonard's Swamp House. Time to investigate this place. Maybe we'll find out something about her or that Mantus guy.

First of all, Take a look here for more birthday wishes. I don't know of any "easy" directions to get through this, but there are videos on YouTube that you could watch. Here is one of them.

UHS hints does not supply a map; what it says is this: Now save your game, because -- -- inside the vent is a maze with a giant 4-legged spider at the center of it. I won't give you specific directions, but you don't really need them; it's not a long or even complex maze. Do save before you start, though; the creatures aren't friendly. Your goal is a door at the far left side of the room, so start by going to the farthest left entrance. When you get to the part where there's a -- well, I'm not going to call them spiders, so let's say arthropods -- in a web, wait a moment, and another one will come walking in from the left. Let it pass, then go into the passage it came from. From here, you're comparatively safe. Just keep moving toward your goal and you'll make it. (And remember, saving and reloading here will put you back outside the maze so you have to start over.) Save when you come out the other end and go into Maltbe's office. Did I need to say that? Explore the offices to see what you can use here. In room 206, take popsicle sticks from the laptop and that six-foot portrait on the wall. (Maltbe must have been a total diva. Who keeps a full-length life-size self-portrait in his own office?) In Room 204, get a glue gun and some scissors. Now it's arts & crafts time, kiddies. Combine the scissors and the portrait, then the glue gun and popsicles sticks; then combine sticks and portrait to make a Maltbe mask. Happily, you don't have to go back through the maze; instead, leave via the other door. (This is the one that had a broken card reader, but it works fine from this side.) Go back to the Titan facial scanner and step into it; Tex uses the mask automatically.

I did find this on UHS hints, which may help: How do I get to levels 1 and 3? As you can see, there are five levels here, though you can only reach 1, 2, and 3; you start on level 2. There are several elevators up and down on the catwalk, but they have no power. Yet. Step into the level 2 control booth (walk carefully because there are a couple places where the catwalk has collapsed), and you'll see a huge lever marked "ELEVATOR POWER CONTROL." Pretty obvious, but I'm not going to argue. Pull the lever, then go back out and explore. The elevator on the left goes down to level 1, the one on the right goes up to level 3. There's nothing interesting on level 3 at this point, so go down to level 1. It sounds like there might be more than one elevator where you are and maybe you are in the wrong elevator? Also, have you checked out the Mixed Bag thread here?
