As I said before, try checking out the player reviews and also the demo for the game. The reviewer pennmom usually mentions collectibles if there are any.

Why are the collectibles so important to you? Would you not buy a game if it doesn't have collectibles?

That may have been true of one or two games, but when I look at her player reviews now, she has been mentioning the collectibles. If she doesn't mention them at all, it's probably an older game that didn't have any.
