I remember when I actually did this in the morning as I sat and talked to folks while I was having my morning coffee, before I went out to work.


It seemed a lot more personal, when I got immediate response from whoever was around when I posted.


I remember our weekend yard parties at Midge's pool, and Midgie always reminding everyone to exercise.


I remember sharing our music on music night.


I remember the ghost story thread we did around this time of the year.


Great memories for almost 14 years since I joined.

Sadly, we have lost a lot of members to illness and others because life got in the way. I too miss the lively discussions we had, although I don't miss having to moderate them all. It kept Texaslady (Sue) and I on our toes for sure!
And yes, the daily shenanigans were certainly the highlight of my time here.

Joe, those ghost stories sound like fun. I wasn't around for those yet, unfortunately. I miss the guess the games threads in the adventure games part of the forum. I was looking through those again maybe around a year ago, and I was baffled by my own clues. A lot of people came up with some great hints in those threads.

Hi Joe, Ana, Soot, family, Venus...even though I haven't been as long as you all on here - I think my fondest memory is when I first started posting in the Mixed Bag section off Gameboomers which opened a new world for me to be able to speak too people in other countries loving games like me.

Gaming has brought us all together and Joe's Diner has become a wonderful gathering place! A lot of hard work and dedication from all the volunteers have made GB a safe haven us all. Good morning everyone, have a Wonderful Thump Day. I too miss some of the old threads. When ever I have a Party I think of the lamp shade on the head. Gameboomers will always be my favorite place and favorite people. Hugs to all. Danish, Eggs, Grits, Hash Browns, BB Pancakes, and Bacon in the NC.

well i ended up at er yesterday with a touch of pneumonia, we are hoping it got caught in time. don't want another episode like last summer to happen. actually had a dr appt yesterday afternoon so we went to the walk in clinic but he was so busy and he told me to go to the other walk in or to the er, hubby and i decide the er was best .i got a iv of strong antibotics and a good does of steroids. now i have to watch my blood sugars really good since i was sent home with 4 days of predisone and 7 days of antibotics . will call my dr to reschedule appt and to get my flu shot. guess our son has been home sick all week too so told him to stay away from me. we didn't tell anyone about going in yesterday cause hubby didn't want anyone to take off work and run right up there. i have to give big cudos to my hubby for the last year he has done all the cooking , grocery shopping , i do go to walmart once a month but i use their electric carts since i can't walk thru the store, thank goodness out town has a nice store for us to shop at and thats the only place we buy of meat at.well enough said hope everyone has a great day. thankfully all the flood waters around us are gone down. we had our first snow fall sunday, not much but it was pretty
