I've always used Nero to burn games to disk and never had any problems at all but I am wondering whether, if the amount of data I'm burning very slightly exceeds the size shown as available on the DVD, which has never happened to date, would I get a warning not to go ahead help

Help is always appreciated, thanks smile

I used to use Nero and yes, it will tell you you have exceeded disk space. You might try getting some thumb drives for games that will exceed disk space. They are really cheap now.

If you're trying to burn Dragon Age, GOG says it's 22.9 GB, which means you'll probably have to use 6 DVD's to back it up. GOG usually breaks large games up into an .exe and multiple bin files that are 4 GB in size at most.

Thanks for replying, Jenny100 smile

Yes. I burned all the files for Soma and Dragon Age to disks earlier today - and the files for both games were broken up as you describe.
But I did notice that some (mainly with Soma) were very slightly above the limit shown for the DVD's I use woozy

It took 6 disks for Dragon Age and 3 for Soma laugh

I've had to use several "disks per game" like that in the past but I don't recall a circumstance where the space on the disks was absolutely all used up or was very slightly under the requirements.
So that got me to wondering about the possibility of "warnings" eek

EDIT :

Sorry, Draclvr. I didn't see your post until after I'd replied to Jenny100 !!
Good to know I would get a warning then, thank you thumbsup

And yes, I do have some big games on thumb drives, but at the moment I've not got any "spares" ....
