CD Access has a game package which includes Zork Nemesis and two other games for $24.95. While I will probably never play the other two games I was wondering if it was worth it to get Zork Nemesis. Also, does Zork Nemesis play on Windows 98? Two of the games said DOS but I don"t think it was Zork Nemesis. Thanks, Susan

I think it may be worth the price because one of the games in that package besides Zork Nemsesis is SpyCraft: The Great Game which is one of the first adventure games I ever bought and was quite enjoyable(the other game I have no idea about). In it you play a Spy for the CIA who has to unravel the mystery of the assisination of a candidate for the Russian presidency in order to prevent the killing of the US President (here's a link to more indepth review ) It's moderately difficult but am sure there are walkthroughs online that can find to solve it or just post your questions at the Hints section and I can try and guide you through things if needed. The edition I bought ran on Windowns 95 (as did the reviewers) so think you could get it to run in 98 with little problem. EDIT NOTE: I found that Dragon has SpyCraft at a very low $2.95 US if anyone is interested but they placed it in the action section if anyone was curious about the game See Here

Any Zork is a GOOD Zork...Nemesis kinda goes in a different direction than "Return" or ZGI... BUT it is great in is't own right. I however am with most...not pay THAT price for the game.....it is good but also try half.com, an ebay company. I found many good games for much less than what people were asking...Good Luck Hanksdog and BLanche

Zork Nemesis is one of the great achievements of the adventure game genre, period. It's that rarest of adventure games that does EVERYTHING right. Great graphics, GREAT story, terrific acting, fantastic puzzles. It also has the most beautiful, sad atmosphere.

Mike [/qb] Zork Nemesis didn't use QuickTime. It used its own game engine - called Z-vision. It allowed you 360° panning in a similar way to some QuickTime games.

Although it used the Duck codec by TrueMotion for the actual video playback. There was also a tweak to get rid of the "every second line being black" to make the videos look much better.
Incidentally, has anybody got the soundtrack to this game?
I absolutely loved it!
