Hooray Great to be back. Was going through some rough withdrawal symptoms. Thanks to Pandora for talking me through these last couple of days. And thanks to the guys behind the scene who got Gameboomers back up and running.

I am so relieved that Gameboomers is back yeah!
Not having you guys to come to and visit or for help is like not being able to play a game.
So what the heck happened?

You don't know how much you miss something until it's not there. Am I glad to see you back.

What did happen to Gameboomers for the last two days?

I suppose everyone has heard by now what the problem was, but just on the off chance that someone hasn't, here's the scoop. Basically, we are too big for our own good!!! The number of people viewing the forums was so large that it crashed the server several times, which tends to make the other people who use that server a trifle testy! Bob's computer was in the shop, so the server couldn't get ahold of him, and so they just closed our access to keep the whole server up and running.

Talk about being shot in the foot by your own success...

I think everyone should take shifts based upon their last name. A thru L can post Mon, Wed and Fri. The rest Tues, Thurs and Sat. Sunday - no posts - read only

I'm really thankful that GB is back, but I have to sound a note of caution! This sounds to me exactly like what happened to RivenGuild (the Myst/Riven fan site)... it got to popular for it's own good, and went offline because Gordon & Doug couldn't afford to pay for the bandwidth.

Please tell us this isn't the way GB is likely to go!

Was having gameboomers withdraws,where would I go without my internet family? So if we could be of any help that this doesn't happen again, we are here for you...Thanks guys for fixing the problem, because this place is very special to us and we do not want to loose it and we doing anything to keep it up and running....Glad we are back together again...Love you guys..

Boy am I happy to see this board up and running again. I would check on line every once in awhile, and once I would see that the board was still not working I would get off line. So now I know that the ONLY reason I'm connected to the internet is because of GameBoomers! (Well, actually I do use it for other stuff, but each time I logged on I was so bummed that Boomers still wasn't up that I just didn't have the heart to look around anywhere else.)

I just went to the GB Store to buy something I don't really want and will probably never use, just to do my part to add a little bit to the 'pot', and what do I find????

Everywhere there should be print for a description is a row of little blue squares, and where the prices should be are little red squares. I went in and out a couple times, did 'Reload', <img border="0" alt="[winky]" title="" src="graemlins/winky.gif" /> , and still no info.

Man, is this a relief! I thought the system administrator at my work LAN had blocked my acccess!! Boy, was I paranoid. A day without the Boomers is like a day without . . . the BOOMERS!!!

Actually, the strange thing, and the reason I thought it was a local problem and not you, is that I did not get a "Page not available" error, I got the dreaded "Forbidden zone" message! Wow, felt like I was in Darkfall!

Please check the GB store again. I didn't find anything wrong when I went in. It might have as you think a reload problem or just a glitch yesterday.

Hi Granny.......Nuttin' wrong with the Gameboomers Store page! LOL It works fine, maybe a little toooooo fine, as far as resisting temptation is concerned!

If its still not working after reload, probably rebooting will help or clearing your cookies and starting over.
