It is with great sadness I announce the passing of Mr.Bill. Many of you long time adventurers recall MrBill not only as longtime GameBoomer member but as the beloved walkthrough writer, reviewer and the website Mr. Bill’s Adventureland.

His daughter thanks all of you who sent him cards, letters and gifts when he was going through a hard time after losing his beloved wife, Lela.

You can read about his life and loves in his Obituary here.

Thank you, Ana. For some reason, I've been thinking of Mr. Bill all day today. So sorry to hear of his passing, but now he is with his beloved Lela.

Game on, Mr. Bill and Lela!

I am sorry to hear this Ana but thank you for posting the information. I, too, have thought of him recently when I replayed Syberia 3 and just today when Melia posted about that game. He had written an excellent walkthrough for it.

RIP Mr. Bill!! Condolences to his family and friends. sad

Oh my...what a full life you've had Mr Bill. Good Night my friend. I hope there are plenty of Point & Click Adventures for you to review in that great Adventure Land in the sky.

I was thinking about good old Bill a few days ago. His website was an excellent example of when web sites were actually personal, and not WordPress generated clones. R.I.P. Bill!

His old URL has been hijacked by an add farm for casino games, but click this link for a trip down memory lane.

RIP Mr. Bill. I regret never getting to meet you in person. But I did enjoy the few telephone conversations I got to have with you. Too little too late, I wish there had been more. My prayers to your family and friends.

Hope all is well with you, qadventuregames. Nice to see you here even though under very sad circumstances. That's wonderful that you got to speak with Mr. Bill on the phone. I am sure he appreciated it.

This is so sad. Thanks for the update. He lived only about an hour away from me and I told him that I would visit him, but, I never did and I wish I would have. He was so beloved by so many. His walkthroughs and reviews were some of the best. He sent me so many saved games - especially Simon the Sorcerer 3! I never could have finished that game without his help. I sure will miss him. RIP Mr. Bill.

Very sad news.....I do remember Mr Bill when he posted here many years ago. He put his heart and soul into adventure gaming, he was hooked like the rest of us. Creating a website to promote Adventure gaming and to share with ALL.......well you just don't see much of that anymore. He loved the genre

Looking over his "Adventureland", thank you Mikael, brought back so many memories. He was one of a kind. Thank you Mr Bill

Nice to see the posting Ana.

I have shared it with his family who were mostly really little when dad was doing this ... but they played Pajama Sam and Freddy fish games because of him. I think Mikael's posting of the archive will be interesting for them too.

Thank you for your kindness.

Cindy

Very sorry to read this thread. I never met him in person, but he was always so polite and helpful online anytime I messaged him with a query he would always respond and try to help to the best of his abilities. My condolences to his family for losing such a kind individual.

I also missed the thread. So sorry to hear this!

He and I never co-authored walkthroughs, but we were always there for each other when there was something either of us needed help solving.
It's been a few years since I have written any walkthroughs, but Mr. Bill and I were both into it "back in the day" starting something like thirty years ago. All we had was e-mail, so it took a while. I miss that.

Condolences, hugs and best wishes to his family.

So sorry to hear this news. He was my first contact when I became an adventurer back in the 90s. He walked me through many games.
