You play Henri Clement, a soldier in a WW1 trench that leads to the titular bunker.
His early explorations lead him to a dying soldier, who tells a story of a beast and
begs to be shot. Whatever Henri is thinking, the beast intervenes, dismantling the
soldier and giving birth to Henri’s worst nightmare from that point on.

Thanks flotsam and Draclvr! I'm still trying to get to the first 3 in the series. I tend to buy all of these horror/survival games but then I never reach for them to play. I don't consider them "adventure". I have to be in just the right mood to try one and those moods don't come along too often. duh

I've played them all and loved them. But this one concerns me if it doesn't have any save points except for early in the game.

Nice review flotsam. Thank you.

Don't know why they have to mess with "saves". It does not help make the game anymore appealing. It does just the opposite. Frictional Games should know that

Thank you Drac

I seem to remember something about saves happening if you find a lamp or something in flotsam's first look. But I agree... don't mess with my ability to save at will or at the very least save on exit. Not all of us have 6 or 7 hours at a time to game.

I would recommend Easy as a first play through regardless of the saves. I think the need to find a save point (rather than save at will) adds to the tension, but while you are working out how the game (and the beast) functions, not having to go back to the start area to save is a plus. That said though, you will have reason to go there anyway.
