I am so hopelessly stuck! I have opened the portal to the fiery future; turned off the power in the giant head; talked to everyone in both the present and the future multiple times; had Travis analyze everything. I've tried to combine inventory items, but I just can't move forward. Don't know if I need to get the piece for the dial in the cave or get the wounded dude in the future some water. HELP!

I was wondering how you were doing in the game. Sorry that I cannot be of help though.

Have you checked this out here? It might be of some help even though the commentary is in Russian, I believe.

Thanks, Marian! I've searched high and low for a walkthrough, but not for one in Russian! I did see a tiny little thing I might have missed, so I'm going back in to see if it helps. This is the coolest little game! Pun intended!

Unfortunately, that tiny thing I missed didn't help. So, I'm off to muddle through some Russian. It's so funny - the guy doing the walkthrough has on a blue cap with a bunch of blue tangles on his face!

I agree with your take Draclvr but am a long way behind you. Am away from the home pc at the moment and on the laptop and the game doesn't do Cloud syncing on Steam so I can't pick up my saves. I don't want to start again so will have to wait until I return (a possible heads up to others).
Not sure why games wouldn't include that capability but I note that Twilight Oracle doesn't either. I actually didn't realise it was a thing until the first time it happened to me.

Started this game today and am stuck. I’m not that far into it and could not find a walkthrough either. So thanks Drac for the head up and Marian for the link. Guess I’ll be watching a Russian video. lol. 😳

EDIT…… I got a hint from Drac. We will see how I progress. I went to the link but it doesn’t start at the beginning???? I’m in the beginning : . I’ve talked to the bears, I see the 2 flowers , I can’t get past the building blocking we way. I’ve thrown snowballs and got the paper. I have ice and wooden stick. A cup of berries. A tree with a hole that I think something is down there. ? And it has sticky stuff. But can’t do anything. Can’t figure out how to to get past that building ? Any ideas?

I think I finally got Winfrey through the shed issue.

I've figured out how to get the Blood potion, but I goofed up and made a tea first without the Blood flower. Now I'm stuck and can't make the potion! I've tried multiple times and am not having any luck. Hope I don't have to start over.

I am somewhere in between both of you. I need to find the recipe to cure G-Ray, and am trying to get the sheet of paper from the tall tree. In that regard I haven't worked out yet how the snowballs work - is there a specific triggr or do you just keep practicing?

I just kept throwing the snowballs at the items and it finally worked after just one or two throws. Just use the snowball on the item you want to hit.

I don't think its as simple as that, at least with respect to the paper in the tree. I will investigate further.

I got the paper in the tree. I had to throw at the note on the building where the slope is till I said I was perfect and the X on the tree Now it might be ya have to throw on both of them a lot and when you finally throw enough it will say on either of them.

Yes, what Winfrey said. You have to get the achievement or be a Pro first by throwing at the notice on the shed. After I did that, I got the paper in two tries.

Hi Guys

I've just started this game and I am in the same boat as a lot of you, seem to be getting stuck quite a lot, I have found this walk-through on Youtube, its in multiple parts (i.e. #01 etc) and looks a bit disjointed (i.e. looks like its froze but then start again quite a few times, also goes to the save folder often and loads another save for a different part of the game but it may help and get you on the right track, Open Youtube and Go to Gaming and enter Lets Play FLAKE The Legend of Snowblind #01 in the search bar

Cheers

Thanks, safc! I tried that walkthrough video, and it's just too buggy. The one Marian linked to is much better. It doesn't start quite at the beginning, but at least it works.

I did end up starting over and am finding it going much better this time. Whatever you do, if you get as far as the bleeding potion, don't mix it right away until you get ALL the ingredients.

Cheers Draclvr, I think I will start again, I've found various objects just wandering around, the walk through Marian posted the link to I found really frustrating as it keeps jumping from one save to another, at least I've got several videos to look at if I get stuck woozy think thumbsup

Cheers

I don't think there is any need to start over, safc. The only reason I did is because at one point you are supposed to make a blood potion. I stupidly tried to make it before I had all the ingredients and it wouldn't let me start over.

I'm a little over 2 hours into that video walkthrough that Marian linked to and he hasn't loaded any different saves yet??

I hate to say this, but with that blood potion issue and all the snowballing, I'm losing interest in playing this game.

If you want to cook the berries, you will need to light the campfire. Have you been to the future? You have something in your inventory you can use on something in the future to bring back and light the campfire.

Oldbroad, make sure you make good use of Travis... he will help a lot.

I've finally gotten into the cave past the dial puzzle and past the rat guards on the bridge. So I might be able to help you who are further behind.

And you will need to add two items to your item in the inventory before it can be used to bring back fire from the future.

Does anyone have the fallen sun in your inventory? It appears I'm going to need it, but I never found a fallen sun.

You don't need it; you can find one in the endgame.
I have no idea what the item might do before then. I never found it and it didn't matter.

So, I finished Flake, The Legend of Snowblind! What a super little game. But I'm not sure if that was really the end or a setup for a sequel.... I'm not a fan of those because it seems like the sequel never comes. I think of A Vampyre Story...

Hi Guys, I started the game from the start, (missed your post Draclvr) I see you have completed the game, did you do it with the video Marian pointed us to, as I am getting very frustrated with the video options I posted when I get stuck

I did use that video now and then. I doesn't exactly start from the beginning, but it does go constantly through to just before the end. Then it picks up again for the end in another video. I just turned the sound off... but then I do that with ALL video walkthroughs as the commentary is really annoying.

I also "might" be able to help with some hints!

Hi Guys

I still seem to be going round in circles(even with the walkthrough Marian gave a link to) I have the page for the book of Zion, I have shown it to Travis then gone back, gave it to Mojo, then offered him the berries I got from the bush nearby, but he says these are poisonous and want fresh ones, when I look at the walkthrough the berries in his inventory are a slightly different colour, where do I get the berries from? all help gratefully recieved

Cheers

No I have the cup, berries, axe handle with the cloth attached to make a torch, I tried to light the torch, in the future by the gate, but Flake states it will not last to get back to the present, a quick edit, I think Ive found a better walkthrough by the strange Russian Guy with the mask on, and after a quick look it looks like hes tidied the first one up so its not jumping from save to save, will let you know if its any good, (link:-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqudKU7e3rs&ab_channel=SergeyZemsky)

safc, it will take TWO items to make the torch in addition to the axe handle. You have one, but also need something flammable that will keep the torch burning. You saw this material earlier in the game.

Hi Guys

Update on the Russian Walk through I posted the link for, not very helpful at all, I thought the Guy had tidied up his original but its not as informative as the link Marian posted as it does not following a logical path, the only difference is that it doesn't jump from save to save, But now back to my question I found the second item needed to complete the Torch (Cheers Draclvr) I am at now the point where I have used the seeds on the compost and Flake has said he needs to sort the seeds, I have gone to Justin showed him the seeds, he explained about the seeds but I still don't know how to sort the seeds I need to plant, I have tried clicking them on the bears, Justin even the Stone Head and the Wounded Guy, any help gratefully received

Cheers

Excellent! That link Marian posted to a walkthrough doesn't jump from save to save for me at all???

You can't "plant" the seeds in the compost until Travis sorts them for you. But you need to have the recipe for the Blood Potion before you can do anything else. Do you have any gems in your inventory? Have you seen any small round places they might fit? One is right by Travis.

Yes I have used both the Green and Blue stones on the relevant statues clicked on them and spoke to them and I am sure I got the recipe for the Blood Potion from the Statue near the entrance to the cave but this is where I saved for the night, watching football(Soccer) on the PC at the moment, I just keep jumping back the the Forum

No, the recipe comes from the one by Travis. So, good. Then Travis will sort your seeds for you. But don't show them to him, "use" them on him.

So, who's playing?!

As Draclvr said Travis should now be able to sort the seeds for you. Then you can make the potion if you have the right flowers.

And a word of caution - don't make the potion until you have ALL the right ingredients! I tried and the game wouldn't let me start over. I ended up having to restart the game.

Thankfully I didn’t have that experience so I assume it must have been fixed. I know some things were tweaked based on gameplay.
I was able to find and add a flower to the two I had already cooked.
It must have been infuriating to have to start again hardwall

I could get the golden daisy again, but not the other two flowers.

It sure was. But it went quickly because I knew more what to do instead of wandering around aimlessly!

Good luck with the Blood potion!

Even if your team isn't playing, sometimes it fun to watch the games!

In looking at the walk thru for something I noticed he picked up a fallen Sun. I do not have a fallen Sun and it seems like he had it early on. Is this a game stopper for me?

Nope! I asked about it earlier in this thread and flotsam had just finished the game, so told me it wasn't needed. From doing some reading of the English comments in the walkthrough, it was a bug that the dev fixed.

I found this one quite intimidating at first! But after you start making combinations - be sure to consult the map as it gives you some clues - it slowly starts coming together.

Hi Guys, completed the game, I finally got out of the Maze(which I found very confusing at times) I did find the Fallen Sun and gave it to to Leonids and he lead me out of the Maze, so maybe there are two ways of completing the game as Flotsam said that it wasn't needed to complete the game. I had to stumble through to the end as the Russian Walkthrough posted ended before the end if that makes sense duh. For those who have just started playing the game, hopefully there will be a complete walkthrough posted by someone, I think I'll pass on this one. Also I didn't manage to get all the Achievements only 17 out of 29 so I think there is a lot more to explore in the game

Cheers

It was definitely quite an unusual maze! Doable, but oh so tricky! Well done, Winfrey!
