Those are great, especially the first.

I've been playing Fallout 76, and the radio sound track has many older songs that my father, who had a fine voice, used to sing. This is one of them, a favourite of mine:

My wife and I saw Tom Jones the other day. I am not a big fan but he does still have great pipes.
It was a mix of old and new (he really needs to retire Delilah though) and was all in all an entertainingly enjoyable night out.

There are probably a good number of Tom Jones fans who still expect Delilah!

Another French memory, and one who kept going for many years, although not to my taste, was Johnny Hallyday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_o05vQEpQE

Good for you flotsam, and an excellent link: hope you enjoy the show and that historic venue (as well as the rest of the trip, of course...!)

My all time favourite Clapton album is Just One Night when he has Albert Lee rocking along: a great track selection and a stand-out version of Blues Power

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaaQ3O2sfLY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57mwuoMlvOI&t=94s (whole album)

The only time I saw him live was with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers a lot of years ago doing this sort of material

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9N8Qi6zLSU

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_d1w9pmWLs

but later he was somewhat eclipsed in that band by Peter Green with tracks like the Supernatural

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeOKj5XdVAE

and Mick Taylor also did some cool blues with John Mayall before joining the Stones

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYdBZWDS_Mw

and starting to show the signs of age but still having what it takes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzk0g36MFeo

That is probably just about enough guitar blues for today chocobunny catrub

I'll have to check out those links. I'm not a huge Clapton fan but I love the collaborations.

I am wondering if anyone followed Pink Floyd back in the day maybe still like listening to their music today. One of their concerts that came to the USA was the Pulse Tour back in 1994 in Philadelphia which I could not resist. What a concert it was. NO BAND has ever come close to their shows/tours in my opinion. Their music, pyro, anime, live action and last but not least their amazing laser show has never been topped. It took 27 semi trailers some designed with powerful generators to run this concert

Many will know this song. It was one of many that to this day still runs. It is a 2023 remaster of Money - the long version

If a follower this Pulse concert held in Earls Court, England in 1994 will give you one heck of a show. Watch the beginning of the show and if interested in this concert follow it through. You will love it! You can watch the live Pulse concert version of "Money" by scrolling to 1:31:25.....Watch on. You want to see lasers scroll to 40 minutes and 58:45 - "Another Brick in the Wall". Get a look at their animation by scrolling to 1:12:30

You can purchase Pink Floyd's Pulse concert held at Earls Court HERE

Again if a follower of Pink Floyd enjoy the concert

I did, although not fanatically, and I have a selection of their material (mainly Echoes): more recently I became friendly with one of the road crew for the highly successful Australian tribute band https://www.aussiefloyd.com - he is offering tickets when they are next in UK and I may take him up on it! catrub

Meanwhile that link to the Pulse concert makes me think I need the album - many thanks for the nudge thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup

Orion, I absolutely love Pink Floyd. I'm more partial to the post-Waters phase, which is musically more appealing to me, but I love all of their music.

When I was about 20 a group of us attended the Animals concert In Montreal. If I remember correctly, the stadium was not yet finished and we all had to sit on the ground. it was a great concert nonetheless. The flying overhead pig was the highlight, of course.

I will check out those links, thanks.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I too went to the "Animals" concert hagatha. They came to Chicago, IL and performed at Soldiers Field, Chicago Bears Stadium. I remember the flying pig with those laser eyes coming out from behind the stage floating around the stadium for awhile then flying out of it. That was a long time ago, 1977. I know we had a great time. I was 20 years old. Animals was good album . I didn't care for side 1 but liked side 2, the hits. Side 2 starts 18:28 into this video. Use the yellow markers on the scroll bar

**

I have watched Australian Pink Floyd concerts on YouTube Lex. Tribute bands I have checked out from time to time have always been a disappointment. This Pink Floyd tribute band has done a very good job with Pink Floyd's overall performance but on a smaller scale, still a very good show. Grab those tickets Lex! Thanks for the tour link, they are coming to Orlando, 15 minutes away. This is good. I have grabbed a couple tickets and valet parking for August thumbsup
