To uninstall a game I used to always just go to my program list, but I really don't do a lot of uninstalling so...

Last week I uninstalled a Big Fish game through the BF manager and then I reinstalled it hoping it would play better but it didn't. I do notice that if I open the game location through the game icon that there are still files in the game folder from my original install.

I have the free version of Revo Uninstall. Would it be better to use that to uninstall the game? Do I just click the game name and then click uninstall? I may get the game from Steam and see if it works any better from there.

It's been a while since I used Revo but I think you just locate what you want to get rid of and then click uninstall.

When you uninstall Big Fish games you don't get rid of your save profile but it usually gets rid of everything else, with some exceptions of which I can't remember now what games they were. In general I don't think you need Revo for uninstalling Big Fish games.

I don't have anything better to offer than what Marian already said. It would be odd for a Big Fish Game to need an uninstaller like Revo.

Okay, thank you both. I can tell you though, that in the game folder there are files dated 8/01/23 and 4/18/24, although - now that I look further, I didn't purchase the game until 9/02/23, so those older files cannot be from my first installation. I guess they are just some game thing. I will just use the game manager to uninstall again.

I uninstall BF games via Control Panel and then use Windows to remove any game files that are left.

(But the game itself is left in my Purchase History for when I want to try a clean and fresh install using Game Manager.)

Thanks Mad! I used to always use Control Panel also but I don't really know how to look for and remove leftover game files. I just went ahead with the game manager uninstall.

Well I can tell you if you like, oldbroad, but if you are happy with how you already do it there’s no point 😉
