Hi all Yesterday I got Anacapri-The Dream. I'am wondering now whether there's another Boomie already walking the streets of Anacapri? It wouldn't be so lonely........ MaG: Did I see your name in the booklet under credits? When will you release the WT? I'am desperate... Ciao a tutti! Gimli

Gimli, Post at Hints forum so that we can help you. There is a contest out in Europe on who finishes the game first. I can't post the walkthrough until that is done.

Hi all and thanks for the postings! Capri is really very beautiful!
MaG: no problems for the moment. Thanks anyway. Will come to Hints when needed now that I know that you can/will help.

I was there on May 19th. Didn't see you, so I left. Incidentally, Anacapri is pretty high up the mountain, so be careful if you don't like heights. You get there via the "Mama mia" road, so called because the edge of the road is next to a sheer drop of hundreds of feet to the rocks below.

Jenny100: as Becky already wrote it's been released in Europe on June 30. Hi Nicki so pleased to see you Well, I guess it's no secret that Marita was involved in testing the game and writing the WT, because anybody can read it in the booklet. Sorry for you that you have to wait another month or two :/ Hey ray: your posting confused me a little because the game is released only since June 30 - but after reading it a few times I understood that you were really there... Did you enjoy it? Wonderful island isn't it! Upsydaisy: I made a general tour so far and looked here and there and walked the streets a bit. Will start playing in earnest mid week. Maybe we will meet Guess I will be in Hints a few times MaG Greetings from Gimli

Sorry about that. I was trying to be coy and didn't succeed too well. Yes, I was really there. Haven't seen the game yet and I understand it will be a while before it's out in the U.S. So, yes, it's also true what I said about the "Mama Mia" road. My cowardly companions had hysterics for ten minutes because of that. Being intrepid, mine lasted only five.

That is to bad. A lot of players do not have DVD. I think this will cut down on sales. There is not a lot of imformation on this aspect of the game. Thank you for your reply

Redcell -- there are exterior DVD drives that are inexpensive and easy to use. I know that the tech experts in the Glitches forum would be able to give you recommendations as to what to look for when purchasing one. More and more games are coming out on DVD now -- I think the tide is finally turning that way.

Thanks for that information. I will look into it. Playing games on the computer is a joy to me. I keep myself occupied by doing this. I am so glad for this web site where you can get so much information. Thank you again.

Thanks for all the info. I have been wondering why there's been a delay in shipping my game.

Hey, I'm just glad we're getting it this year. I've been waiting 2 years (or, has it been longer?).

I sent email to Gey regarding the delay of Anacapri (NA) He very kindly replied and thought I would share his response.
"The process to obtain the rating (now set to E 10+) from the ESRB has been longer than usual. In addition, one player of the Italian edition has discovered a very minor bug, that we decided to correct in the U.S. version. But, be patient! I am sure you will not deceived from the game, that is one order of magnitude better than “A Quiet weekend in Capri” considered from all point of view – story, technology, depth, playability. "
He then sent me some screen shots. Very nice. See above for Gey's explanation to Birddog. Saw your edit just now.

I have a question. Will this game be the slideshow style (if that is the right term) as was in Quiet Weekend?

MaG... I hope Gey & Silvio know that we'll happily and patiently await any & all of their efforts to make our 'vacation' smooth & glitch-free. Please, take your time... we'll be ready when you & the game are ready !In the meantime, my 'bags are packed' & I'm ready to 'set sail' !!

Thanks MaG. Not my favorite style but the game sounds real interesting so I'll more than likely try it when it does get here.

Not out here yet Becky. It plays the same as Quiet Weekend but I think better constructed. Missed the Italian language though.

... Not my favorite style but the game sounds real interesting so I'll more than likely try it when it does get here. When I first started playing, I thought the same thing Oldman. Didn't take long to fall under the magical spell of the isle of Capri, & become fully immersed in its environment. Interacting with the locals (people & cats) was a special treat as well, & further brought the game's environment to life. Yes, give it a try if you can.
