Been wrapped up in this game since purchasing it. GFX:Stunning,creepy,beautiful environments,all wonderfully animated. Details are amazing.
STORY:Just great. Pushes you along as you explore. Scary at times.Inventive and does Lovecraft justice.
SOUND: Music perfect and subdued,cues are just as they should be.Environ sounds are expertly crafted,and all of it helps with the lonesome,creepy enviroments.
The people who worked on this game should be congratulated...fantastic job,you guys.This game is top notch.
I've played well over a dozen adventure games this year and this one is one of the best!

I couldn't agree more!! I LOVED this game.
For me, it had it all. Did I mention that it was scary?
I had to play it 3 times, till I found all the documents, clues, hidden clues, story secrets, and Easter eggs. What fun!!
I hoping for a sequel!!

Yes,I agreed with the review. I'm nowhere near done with this game,and am enjoying it immensely!
At the same time,I've been struggling along with Next Life,and not having much fun at all with that one,although NL contains facial and body animations that are the best I've ever seen in any game,it's like 2 sets of designers worked on the game...a great one with the bodies/faces and a second-rate team with the 2d backgrounds. Not to mention the awful puzzles.
Anyway...thank goodness for the Darkness Within game...its a delight

Yep- I am agreeing-I just stopped playing --live is interrupting me again I am enjoying it immensely!! I like the controls.- it took me a moment to figure out the thinking process -- next time I think I will read the instructions first.

Q -- you've figured out all the story secrets already? I only have 3 of 5.

I can't stop playing the game either, even though I should. I've even been googling stuff. I'm starting to guess

I got 3 of 5 story secrets on my second try. Of course, I couldn't let it go at that. I had to give it another try. On my third try the light bulb above my head turned on.

Hi all, I finally just finished the game. Whew!!! Wow!!! Although I thought I was following the walkthrough, I missed out on some things and had to backtrack. It was worth it. I couldn't stay away from it, but would stall playing it again...it really was scary. I thought the voices were great... also the "special effects". My score wasn't the greatest, but who cares? I loved it. I'm sure I'll play it again. I think the game is exceptional. Teddo

I echo Mad's sentiments; the game is sitting right here and I am really looking forward to playing it. It sounds VERY intriguing!!
