Hello all,
I'm in trouble again lol.

Dracula origin has gone haywire,
inventory items continuously/randomly/rotate and show in top right corner.
Cannot save, or load.

I am at the 3 pyramid puzzle and have light beams activated.

I will try, re install and start.
BUT I wish to get my saves out 1st, so as not to play all again.

I have seached ,but cannot find where saves are stored.
Can someone please help (Win XP Sp3 ) .

best wishes to all
Derek ( 80yrs + 4days)

Hi Derek,

The saves for this game if using XP can be found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\(computer name)\Application Data\Games\dracula\save

If the folder doesn't appear, it might be hidden so then try this:
Open a folder - any folder.
Go to Tools at top bar. On the drop down menu, select Folder Options.
Go to View on the new frame.
Look for that folder icon with 'Hidden files and folders'.
Select or tick on - Show hidden files and folders.
Then look for the C:\ file as above in bold.

luck

Hi Rushes,
Thanks very much, it was 'application data'
bit that fooled me.

I will now try and resurrect Dracula lol

Have a good Christmas and New Year

Hi petjo,

For Windows 7 they're at:

C:\Users\[your computer name]\AppData\Roaming\Games\dracula\save

scared I'm not familiar with Win 8.

Have you tried running a file search for "dracula" to see what comes up?

Did you look in the same Application Data file as you did in Windows 7?

Do you have hidden files enabled on your Windows 8 computer?

I can't install Dracula Origin on my Windows 8 or I'd check for you, petjo.

You may have already tried this, Drac, but did you change compatibility on the installer before running it?
And did you run the installer as an Administrator?

And Petjo, when you installed the game, what folder did you install it to?
  • C:\Program Files ?
  • C:\Program Files (x86) ?
  • A folder inside My Documents ?
  • or somewhere else?
Also do you have Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 ?

Did all of the above on 8.1. I get an Install Shield error with a number I was unable to reference anywhere.

Ugh! I wonder if it's a version problem.
Do you have a disc version while Petjo has a download version?

I have a disc version, but I know there is also a Steam version, a Gamersgate version, a Big Fish version, and probably other download versions as well.

See if it's the same as for Win 7. Follow this manoeuvre:

Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Folder Options, View, Advanced Options, Show Hidden Files

It is the same as Windows 7... the easiest way to get to Control panel is to right click down in the very lower left corner of the screen and select Control Panel. Or on the Start page, just start typing Control Panel. You can also right right click it once you have it and pin it to your Start page.
