I am not specifically referring to your posts or anyone else. I respect everyone's opinion on this issue. I am expressing my feelings on previous dealings with BF who has always went the extra mile or 10 to correct any problem that I was experiencing. I just can't wrap my mind around the idea that this change is going to be that big of deal. Didn't Picman already post that if someone makes a mistake and does not cancel their subscription it will be taken care of. To me it's the BF way--they support their customers. I am not that great of a writer--wish this was a telecon. lol That's why I don't post but love to visit this forum.

It is not how in the past we have been treated or even the future, but just the ones that do not know how to get support and signing up to one game can end in a Hidden Expedition.

I think the real question is why are they doing it that way. No one has really explained the reason for it.
As I said, I will not buy any more games if I have to join in order to do so. Maybe it's the principle of it or maybe it's the fact I think it's utterly ridiculous. Either way, I'm sure BFG will not miss my occasional game buying.

Wow....what a stir this has made. I personally will leave my membership as it is and watch the next couple of months for the additional upcoming changes an benefits hinted at by BFG. I buy numberous games each month anyhow and welcome a fixed $6.99 price. To me it beats anything out there especially when I feel there is a minimum of risk with BFG, based on the integrity they have already shown its existing membership.

I see it as potential additionl kudos coming up that will offset the membership fee, including game credits and perhaps additional opportunities not given to the non-members. For the price of a couple of month dues, I personally will wait an see. BFG has never lied to me before so I will give them the benefit of my paitence.

"Wow" is right Cherie. I guess I'm a little surprised because if you read the BF statement on membership it clearly says they are an ongoing monthly subscription club with a unique benefit of no minimum purchase and you can cancel anytime by pushing a button. That doesn't seem to be difficult or unfair. But rather than question BF motives as to why the change or how unfair this is, people can just opt to buy games at $9.99 or $19.99 at another site where they feel more comfortable. I will say that they will be missing great prices that make games affordable for many, including myself. Hitting a "cancel" button doesn't seem to be a big price to pay for that. just MHO

If your a club member you pay $ 6.99 a game for 12 months...
I think you still can cancel at anytime...

But who would want to ....You can't beat that price I say...

Time out and take a breather everyone! I'm not sure how someone can twist such a great offer for consumers into something diabolical, but we seem to be doing a great job of it.

No one here is forced to use BigFish Games. If you do not care for them, that's okay. If you do not care for their policies, that's okay too. Write to them if you want to vent.

BFG-Guy does not have to explain his reasons here for things he does with the site he founded, although he is always welcome. He also should not however be accused of "preying" on anyone and inflammatory posts will not be tolerated here.

BFG-Guy posted here and if you take the time to actually read what he said, you will see they have covered all of your concerns very well. Here is his post again for those that can't find it.

We, as adults need to take responsiblity for our actions. Read before you click, decide if something is for you. That is not the responsiblity of the website if you blindly purchase. Read website EULA's, privacy policies, tracking devices, re-download options, customer service etc. Know what you are getting. I have done that and I know for a fact that when you lay the cards on the table, BigFish wins by a landslide from other websites.

Let's treat them as fairly as they have treated us. Or do we need a reminder and I'll post all the links to the kudos they have randomly been given? How quickly we seem to forget.

I have cancelled my membership twice.Once when I was buying games at $9.99 and once when I was using a credit card. It was very easy to do. Reactivating my account was very easy also. I have no problems with Big Fish, I love their games and have a few friends who have joined also.

More evidence that BFG-Guy is a class act, and that BFG is a class-act company! Thank you, BFG-Guy!

I was happy to see my amount deducted per month was automatically reduced from the 7.99 to the 6.99.

You need to experience the new customer purchase process to understand how obvious and easy it is...for example you do not have "sign up", you just buy a game. And you do not have to "go back and cancel" you can click a single button during checkout on the "activate game receipt page" and you are done. Canceled. That experience is exactly what you are asking for. Our research shows that longer term, almost all people who experience Game Club, eventually join and do not cancel once they are comfortable with it. Thus the default subscription behavior to encourage trying it AND the simple one click cancel during checkout if they do not want it.

Soon the Big Fish Game Club will be so compelling that I predict very very few people will cancel unless they simply cannot afford the games, in which case they should cancel, and we should support them and make it dead simple.

BFG has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. You cannot possibly have that kind of rating with a customer base the size of ours unless you are completely committed to making sure every experience with BFG is a positive one.

Ok this back and forth got me confused- so now you do not have to cancel.

Now this does have me worried! If I find BFG any more compelling than I already do, I may never sleep at all at night, and I will hold you personally responsible.
