I have been playing the Conjurer from Real Arcade and recommend it for anyone that likes a great mystery storyline and beautiful graphics plus watch animated magic tricks that are no ordinary magic tricks as the magician uses certain objects that we find. I played the free demo and ended up buying it because I am so impressed.

Thanks, Sherryah.

Do you know if Real Arcade have stopped placing invisible gifs on the gamer's computer during download - so that they access it for their advertisements and give the gamers' info to others?

I've been very curious about The Conjurer: A Magical Mystery game since I read the review on Gamezebo.
But I too hate GameHouse and RealArcade downloads for the malware they use. When they have to use a full page Privacy Policy with a disclaimer such as "We will not sell, rent or otherwise distribute your personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent, except as set forth below." with several sketchy instances.
It gives me great pause.
So I'm going to take a pass on this one for the time being since I can't walk into a store or purchase from a site I trust.
On a related note, if you Google The Conjurer: A Magical Mystery to try and find an alternative download option, you receive 28,900 links to all the illegal Warez.
So yeah, not alot of options to legally get this game with no nasties.

They most certainly do still put gifs on your computer and track your moves to give to advertisers.

I do not recommend downloading any content from them.

The games do not take that long to get to other portals. It is worth the wait no matter how anxious you are to play it.

I downloaded the demo from GameFools, this is the safe site, like the SpinTop, they don't put anything on your computer, I downloaded many games from them, though didn't buy. The Conjurer is a beautiful, cute, charming game with plenty to do, magic little tricks, real eye candy.

I looked forward to the release of this game at GameHouse. The games they publish are usually of very high standard such as the Mortimer Becketts, Crystal Portal, Delicious series and recently Campfire Legends. The Conjurer left me disappointed. It had nothing really new, just basic searching- when you got to the interactive part they showed you where to put everything. The graphics were not the best.
Had to pass on this one.

I agree with you on this one BellaRosa. I actually beta tested this quite a while ago and I was not impressed either. I didn't say much earlier, however, because as far as I'm concerned, just because I don't like something doesn't mean someone else won't love it. That is why I typically don't look at reviews until after I have given myself a chance to play it first. There are alot of games out there that people hated and I absolutely loved. That's what makes the world go round..right?

smile Your right Barbara everyone has different idea's of great graphics and a fun game. I love the game and think the graphics are beautiful. My favorite part is the different magic tricks. True they let us know where to put the items but believe me sometimes I would need that nudge. happydance

EDIT...............
I also appreciate it when the games come out on different game portals so anyone that doesn't like real arcade there are different choices now where the game is at.

I don't know anything about them, but I checked it out when it was mentioned and did not see anything concerning.

Ana...maybe I am not savvy about privacy notices, but their notice says that 3rd party advertisers may use information from their site in a way they have no control over. Does this mean that even if I don't click on the ads or click to another place other than downloading a game from the site, that the information CAN be accessed by third parties? Or do I have to click on the seperate links in order for the third parties to be able to access my info.

Does the afore-written confused(is this a word)paragraph make sense to you, i.e. am I being clear?

I understood you just fine jody.

If you click on the ads, you are essentially leaving their website and they are no longer responsible for what the advertisers website places on your computer. As long as you don't click on an ad you are okay.

Do you consider SpinTop games a safe site to download from?
