Iceberg have not got back to me yet. But I was able to sort out the problem. The game does not run when Physx 9.10.0514 is installed. Even when I uninstalled Physx completely and cleaned my registry, my computer still reported that I have this driver. After trawling NVidia forums, lots of people are having problems with Physx and certain games. The solution I found was to uninstall Physx, clean registry and run Driver Sweeper (free programme)then I was able to install version 9.10.0513. which comes with the game. Hope this helps someone else in the same boat.

As an extra tip, try not to use up all three activation attempts (like I have) in trying to get the game to run. SecuRom who handle the activation of the game are unable to extend the activiation limit. After installation you have to activate straight away so the PhysX problem does not show up until after activation. I am reading that SecuROM is bad news and remains on your system even after you uninstall the game. However, I have been referred back to Iceberg so maybe they will be able to get me playing.... This game is proving to be a big headache!! Edit: Good News!! Iceberg increased my activations from 3 to 5. Thank you Iceberg!!

Hi everybody, I am having the same problem concerning "General Protection Fault",when trying to run AV-Episode 1, so I e-mailed the support group. I was asked to attach my DXDIAG.txt file, which I DID(along with a description of my problem), which I DID. I received a response from them the very next day. It contained information that MIGHT help me to resolve this issue. At the end of the "suggestions", it stated that MY computer would NOT run this game (according to the DIAX.txt file I had sent to them). It stated that my drivers were from 2010 and should be updaded.I went to ATI.com(which is now AMD.com) only to find that I already have the latest drivers for my video card. I un-installed the game, re-installed it, and got the same problem. I,again, Uninstalled the game. I guess I will just have to cut my losses and move on the next game.(Right now it's Black Mirror 3), downloaded from Adventure Shop. It ir running perfectly even with the graphic options all cranked up to "HIGHEST". Please draw your own conclusions from that. Sanford

I guess I will just have to cut my losses and move on the next game.(Right now it's Black Mirror 3), downloaded from Adventure Shop. It is running perfectly even with the graphic options all cranked up to "HIGHEST". Please draw your own conclusions from that. As far as I can tell, Adam's Venture is a 3D game. Black Mirror 3 is 2.5D. 3D games are almost always more demanding than 2.5D games. Also although several recent games (e.g. - Darkness Within 2, Gray Matter) have not worked on my 7 year old Dell, but Black Mirror 2 had no problem. So the Black Mirror 2 and 3 games are not typical. Don't expect every new adventure game to work just because Black Mirror does. You didn't mention what model video card you have. If you have something like an ATI Radeon X300, I'm not too surprised it doesn't work with Adam's Venture. Recent drivers don't make a recent video card. These are the requirements I've found for Adam's Venture II -- Minimum System Requirements
* OS: Windows® 2000/XP/Vista/7™ * CPU: Intel® Pentium® 2.0 GHz or equivalent AMD® * RAM: 512 MB RAM (1 GB Recommended for Windows® Vista™) * Video: Nvidia 6200+ or ATI R520+ * * Hard Disk Space:600 MB * Sound: DirectX® 9.0c compatible sound card * Other: Mouse, Keyboard, Sound Speakers
*All laptop models were not tested and some may not provide features adequate to meet the intense hardware requirement. You need a pixel shader 3.0 compatible card .
Recommended System Requirements
* OS: Windows® 2000/XP/Vista/7™ * CPU: Intel® Pentium® 2.4 GHz or equivalent AMD® * RAM: 1 GB RAM (1 GB Recommended for Windows® Vista™) * Video: Nvidia 7800 GTX+ or ATI x1300+ or better * Hard Disk Space:600 MB * Sound: DirectX® 9.0c compatible sound card * Other: Mouse, Keyboard, Sound Speakers. At the end of the "suggestions", it stated that MY computer would NOT run this game (according to the DIAX.txt file I had sent to them). I don't know why they'd say that without telling you exactly why not.
