"Age is of no importance unless you are a cheese." Billie Burke You won't be saying that when you're 65. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mafia Valentine Verses My love for you... it came and went. So your feet are now in wet cement. I'm here To fulfill your fondest wishes Now that your husband sleeps with the fishes. Lie down with me -- it's my final offa, Or you'll be lying wit' Jimmy Hoffa. I picked up dis card from a slim selection But that's all they offer here in witness protection. Be my Valentine, and we can do it execution-style. Gads I'm in a hurry and my mind is a blank! Like I said, the first thing they taught me in art class was how to draw a blank, and I got an A+. My teacher said I was inspired. And believe it or not, I've even gotten better with age. The thing that has not gotten any better with age, unfortunately, is inspiration. If perspiration really makes up for it though, I should be almost back to even. Well, almost nearly, but.....not.....quite.....hardly. I’ve gotta be getting close though. Yup Another 5:00 start today. UGH! Have a happy day everybody! joe

Good morning everybody! Sorry I couldn't say hello yesterday. Headache was stonger than my will... Glad it's gone. Joe: that is really too early to get up. Tell them! Ana: so glad you finally came out of that corner. Guess it's running with the dogs and then Zumba for you? Enjoy! Manxman: happy day to you too! Good morning Sue and Haroula and Gerry and Venus Good morning to all coming in after me. It's nice, sunny weather here in Switzerland but awfully cold. I'am not used to that. Midge: I hope you'll find a perfect 2bedroom apartment for you and that you will be happy there and glad you are rid of the "old" Landlady. Tell her she's a "Bloedi Chue" (that's Swiss German, she won't understand). It means bl... cow. We sold our old (12 years old) car to the daughter of a friend of mine and hubby just went to the garage to get our new car. I'am a bit sad today to have to leave my old car. We woman always are so emotional and are getting personal ties to "things", in my case a car. I was always patting his rump after the 8 hour drive from and to Italy. At 2 p.m. friends-daughters-hubby will come to collect the old car, and I fear I have to shed a few tears then. Sigh Despite of all this, I wish everybody a happy and wonderful day! Evelyne

I can't believe it's already Friday! Dunno where my week went. Good news is that the phone pole workers are back on the adjoining street. They started Wednesday and disappeared all day yesterday. So we get to see what they are up to today on the morning walk. Bought 2 awesome blankies at the thrift store. They just got them in the day before (brand new in box). They are double sided plush (short soft) and feel like soft fur. Nice satin edging all around. Only paid 20 bucks each (bargained with one of the workers who knows me from years and years). Usually they won't discount NEW just arrived stuff, but I'm special. Washed and dried them. Washing was easy, drying not so much. Because they are two separate pieces joined by the edging, the rolled into a tight ball in the dryer and I had to go out every 10 minutes to undo the ball. Incredibly heavy when wet, like a comforter. But they came out looking fantastic, just like they went in, no fuzz, no lint on the dryer screen, awesome. Anyway, looked them up on line and found that they are currently selling for 90 bucks each! I think the 20 was a good deal. Will be great for cold winter nights on the bed or just to wrap up in. I'm thrilled.
WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Hello again Boomies Old car has gone to a new home But the new car is a real hit . (No Joe, I didn't hit something with the car, the car itself is a hit... LOL) Nan: thank you for your kind words! Hugs right back at you This girl here is sooooo emotional Guess I overdid my Smilie permission for today, so I'am signing off now. Got to change into nice cloth, because I'am going to an opening of a ceramist friend's exhibition tonight (with the new car - yay!). See you all tomorrow. Happy TGIF! Love, Evelyne

Good morning boomies. No Zumba for me this morning. I woke with a blinding migraine that I knew was not going to be helped by jumping around so I went back to bed. I will take the dogs to the park after I have some lunch. Sue, Haroula, Gerry, Venus, have a great day! Evelyn, congrats on the new car! Mine is ten years old in a couple months and sadly in need of replacement also. I know what you mean on getting attached to them. Gail, so glad your pup is doing well. Enjoy your walk. Connie, anything fun come along yet? soot, I hope you enjoy your vacation day. Darlene, happy Friday! Is daughter loving her new house? Sharon, have fun bowling! Nan, it's 43 and sunny. I am not ready for the teens! Have fun at the fish fry tonight. I am in the mood for fish for dinner too. L4L, enjoy your gaming day. Okay....off to the park before I change my mind.

Hi boomies. I worked this morning and checked out an apartment but it's not what I'm looking for. I think this is gonna be harder than I thought. Very few choices. I'm off to get some moving boxes, then to my chiropractor, then maybe to see another place to call home. I hope you're all having a great day. Be back later. Midgie
Just do it.

Back from dentist for the 6 month check-up. All OK whew. would be celebration with some hot pepper chipies but mouth kinda sore. Maybe later.
Beauty day-again. Warm and sunny and rainy on weekend hooray gaming weather.
Good for you Midge. She must pay you 100$/day befor the month end. Just think, you will be celebrating the holidays in a new place.
I'm cooking a vegge dish, it's lima bean bake and it sounds good -we shall see.

Yankee Clipper -- I never heard of a lima bean bake. It sounds delicious! Midge -- I know this must be so stressful for you. Not to mention financially "inconvenient". But anyone who wants to charge you $100 per day if you can't be moved on time is somebody you really need to get away from. I'm saying a prayer that you find the perfect place to move into. ( I'm not sure what she's doing is legal. Have you checked those laws in your state??) Nan, I can't imagine having to go for walks in 19 degree temps. I shiver just thinking about it. Sassy has a good friend. Ana, sorry about the migraine. I hope you feel better soon. I forgot how hard it is to walk that far. My legs hurt and I get very tired. Which just goes to show me that I need to keep doing it till it doesn't hurt anymore... Went to the Dunkin Donuts first to get a breakfast sandwich. Then went bowling and found I am really terrible at it. I didn't realize that my arms had lost strength as well - My right arm hurts now too! But it was fun and had the added advantage of also exercising various muscles. So, a terrific day so far. Hope everyone else is enjoying themselves.
