I can't believe it's already Friday! Dunno where my week went.

Good news is that the phone pole workers are back on the adjoining street. They started Wednesday and disappeared all day yesterday. So we get to see what they are up to today on the morning walk.

Bought 2 awesome blankies at the thrift store. They just got them in the day before (brand new in box). They are double sided plush (short soft) and feel like soft fur. Nice satin edging all around. Only paid 20 bucks each (bargained with one of the workers who knows me from years and years). Usually they won't discount NEW just arrived stuff, but I'm special. grin Washed and dried them. Washing was easy, drying not so much. Because they are two separate pieces joined by the edging, the rolled into a tight ball in the dryer and I had to go out every 10 minutes to undo the ball. Incredibly heavy when wet, like a comforter. But they came out looking fantastic, just like they went in, no fuzz, no lint on the dryer screen, awesome.

Anyway, looked them up on line and found that they are currently selling for 90 bucks each! I think the 20 was a good deal. Will be great for cold winter nights on the bed or just to wrap up in. I'm thrilled. penguin

Hi boomies. I worked this morning and checked out an apartment but it's not what I'm looking for. I think this is gonna be harder than I thought. Very few choices. I'm off to get some moving boxes, then to my chiropractor, then maybe to see another place to call home. I hope you're all having a great day. Be back later.

Yankee Clipper -- I never heard of a lima bean bake. It sounds delicious! broccoli

Midge -- I know this must be so stressful for you. Not to mention financially "inconvenient". But anyone who wants to charge you $100 per day if you can't be moved on time is somebody you really need to get away from. I'm saying a prayer that you find the perfect place to move into. (I'm not sure what she's doing is legal. Have you checked those laws in your state??)

Nan, I can't imagine having to go for walks in 19 degree temps. I shiver just thinking about it. Sassy has a good friend. catrub

Ana, sorry about the migraine. I hope you feel better soon.

I forgot how hard it is to walk that far. My legs hurt and I get very tired. Which just goes to show me that I need to keep doing it till it doesn't hurt anymore... laugh Went to the Dunkin Donuts first to get a breakfast sandwich. Then went bowling and found I am really terrible at it. I didn't realize that my arms had lost strength as well - My right arm hurts now too! But it was fun and had the added advantage of also exercising various muscles.

So, a terrific day so far. Hope everyone else is enjoying themselves. smile

Sharon B it's amazing how quickly we loose strength after we age a bit. When my last horse was buried -in my front yard btw- that happened to me. No more riding, jumping, dressage, but mostly throwing hay. Now I work out dailey, even if I don't feel like it.

The lima bake is pretty good and here it is:
Cook the dried limas
Saute onion and green pepper
Add cooked or canned tomatoes
Chili powder, salt, pepper -I used chili
peppers
Pour into casserole
Sprinkle with grated American Cheese
Bake 350 for 5 or so min
I used alot of onions and green peppers as they give a good flavor. A vegge meal

Remember to change clocks tomorrow night. Back

Sharon, I think I'm going with a 2 bedroom apartment not far from here. It's certainly big enough for what I'm bringing. I just can't wait to move out from under my landlady's eyes. She's gonna miss me. smile I was a great tenant.... no parties, no loud noises, I'm a neat freak, what more can you ask for? I just want to bring my son over to the apartment to see what he thinks. It won't change my mind though.

I am feeling much more normal now. Dogs and I are walked/run and I spent the last 4 hours cooking nonstop to fill the fridge with my usual side dishes. We all really missed them this week.

L4L, how is your gaming day going?

Midgie, any small houses or condos to rent? Have you checked if there is roomate service that maybe you can find someone like you to share a nice place with? My daughter and her fiance rent out a room in their house to help with the mortgage.

Yankee, I am soaking an array of beans, peas and lentils right now to make chili soup tomorrow.
I am glad your dentist visot went well.

SpaceQ, how you doing? hearts

Sharon, so glad you did the walk and bowling! It will get easier each time. yay

Nan, have a fun evening. A walk with the dogs always makes me feel better.

Haroula, sweet dreams.

MaG, you snuck in there. hearts
