Oh Gimli! I'll be crossing fingers and toes that things aren't too bad. I had my home broken into years ago and I still think about it. Scary and costly. Hope all goes OK for you! Voting: Neighbor just called. He voted this AM and said some lady brought her HUGE dog with her and wanted to 'register to vote'. The nice people at the polls spent a long time trying to explain it's way too late to register. Ugh. She just didn't understand, not to mention them trying to get the doggie OUTSIDE so everyone voting would be calm. Then, the guy who asked why Bob Filner (one of the candidates for Mayor of San Diego wasn't on his ballot???? Ha. WE live in Chula Vista, which is of course a part of San Diego County, but we don't get to vote for San Diego City people. That one also took awhile for the guy to understand. Off for a walk. Lovely weather again. DRY (single digits), but oh so blue skies and a great view of our mountains. Maybe I can 'school' a few voters along the way. Hope we have a HUGE turnout today. Last presidential election we had 87% voting. Nice, however in the primaries this year, we had only 32% vote! Can you imagine????

Good morning boomies! I went out and did my civic duty as well this morning. This afternoon is my 6 month follow up for my questionable "squish" I had, so they are either doing a biopsy today or giving me an all clear. Positive thoughts welcome. Tonight Peter and I are going to get facials at Sam's house. She won a "facial party" and she wants us to come. Should be interesting. They will be very dissappointed if they think I am going to buy anything because I do not wear any make-up. Evelyne, I too have been a victim of home robbery and remember the violated feeling you have knowing someone was in your home and in your stuff. I hope it's not too bad. Big HUgs! be back....

Good Morning Boomers! Oh Evelyne, that is terrible!! I hope they were frightened off by the gardener!! You poor girl!!! L4l, freezing the pumpkin...just like squash, oh it is squash, haha. It is sooooo good!! Midgie, your new apartment sounds delightful, I am sooo happy for you!!! Ana, I am in full agreement with you. They should leave well enough alone as far as our hours go. I am still muddy headed. Saying a prayer for only good news too. Voted by mail a couple of weeks ago. It will be what it will be. I know I am sick of it too, Sue! Hubby is Still under the edges of house doing more foundation stuff. I think he is close to finish now. I'm off next door to my Mum's to help her do some mundane chores. Happy Gaming everyone. Enjoy your day!!

Well, I made it here. It is another yucky day, cold and drippy. We got out and voted early as I had a podiatrist appointment at 9:15. Stopped by optometrist to get the lens put back in Bill's glasses. Now I am sitting here trying to figure out what I want for dinner. Better figure it out soon or we will end up having pizza. Hmmmm, that sounds good. Don't know if Bill will want it though. Nope, there is meatloaf left so will finish that up. Chile sounds good for tomorrow. Midgie, can't wait to see pics of your apartment when you get moved in. Aw Evelyn, sorry to hear about the break in. We have been through that also. Wishing everyone a warm and fuzzy day. Bets

Lotus I never even thought of a pumpkin as a squash. Silly me. I just might have to try that as I love squash!! I think hubby has those projects cause he just has to be doing something all the time. When winter actually sets in then he can relax.....I hope. I agree about the "what will be will be"!! There is a greater plan! Just will be happy all those ads and signs will be gone. Bets your weather sounds like ours, although the sun is trying to peek out thru the clouds at the moment. Leftover meatloaf sounds good. Howdy Space!! Glad work is over. Have a nice relaxing evening!! Nan Edit: Night Haroula sleep well and pleasant dreams!!

Hello everybody. I'm at home and on line with my new router. I couldn't wait to install it and see how it works. We shall see. I have to get off and go over to Mom's and visit, and see my Baby. I'll take Pepper with me so she can visit too. I hope you are all having a great day. Evie I'm sorry to hear your home was burglerized. I pray the damage & loss is not too much. Ana fingers crossed and positive thoughts coming to you. joe

Sorta's Monthly Tenant News: So after my long time tenant's son moved out last October 31st (2011) to be with his FIRST girlfriend ever (he's 55) and she lived about 6 hours North in the desert, I figured all was well. So he visited occasionally throughout the year (with and without her), and then in October of this year, he appeared with the girlfriend during a huge family gathering. So the girlfriend left after 2 weeks (yup we have long 'visits' there all the time'). HE stayed and it became obvious it might be a long time. So I put him back on the rental agreement after 6 weeks. THEN he must have reconciled with the girlfriend and he went back up North again. THEN last night, SHE drives in with him as a passenger. They proceeded to unload boxes and bags and suitcases and more bags and boxes from the trunk and back seat of her car. It looked very odd, since even if visiting for a few weeks, this was a LOT of stuff. I immediately thought he was moving back in and bringing his things home. She stayed overnight, and at 7 am, the car left with HER alone. I managed to intercept the mom as she walked to the mailbox and I was RIGHT. He's back for good. Gal dumped him and some of his stuff. He has to get some bigger things later, and his car is still there (needs to get insurance, etc. on it before he can pick it up). Ohhhhhhh! Guess the big romance is off. He quit a nice job here (worked for the Hotel Del Coronado posh restaurant) for years) and never found ANY work in an entire year. Stayed on unemployment and it's running out soon. She is a dentist (making good money) but I think she got tired of supporting him. So I'm sad that the romance didn't work out, but happy to have him back. He has never lived anywhere but with his parents and he's the only one who drives so mom and dad had to walk or get rides from friends/relatives. So this will be good for everyone. Good thing I put him back on the rental agreement. I must have been using my psychic powers that he was going to bounce back here for good.

All good! Thanks for the positive thoughts. Daughter's house is canceled for tonight, everyone going except for Peter and is home sick so it will be rescheduled. I am going dancing instead. Life is good. Gail, I hope your visit went well today. Need to get a quick dinner together and then going to the club. Be happy!

Oh Ana, that's such good news. You know we all say prayers for you my dear. Have fun dancing tonight. I'm gonna say good night though. I've done enough for one day. Hey Bets! Miss you Sweetie. Tomorrow I spend at the Boston Pain Clinic to see if there's anything that can be done about my left ankle. It's a mess in there but I have hope. Night all. Midgie
