Lost in the Arizona Desert
Hi all,
I am trying to finish this game and can't seem to get Lauren to wake up. I've enticed the countess out to the balcony several times and then she goes back to Lauren and then it's wash rinse and repeat.

Is there something I'm missing? crazy

Thanks in advance for any help.

It has been awhile so I had to go look it up. From the walkthrough.

Click to reveal..
Talk to the Countess. Step back towards the balcony a little further each time so the Countess will follow you. Don’t make the distance too big or you’ll have to start again. When she’s almost near the railing, Lauren will wake up. Go to the Countess and push her. The Countess dies but another life is saved. Call your brother for a happy end.

You can find the walk through here.

That's what I've been trying to do but every time the countess reaches the railing then she goes back to Lauren and I have to start over again.

The only hope you have is if someone can provide a save and I do not have one after Lauren wakes up.

Oh well............thanks for the input. The good news is that it's all over except pushing the countess down the balcony and since I know what happens I guess I can live without actually being able to do it.

Oldman

I reinstalled the game. My last save was at the start of the final scene. I could not get Lauren to wake up either. I tried at least a dozen times. I know it worked before when I first played it. The only thing I can think of is Joey must be in a specific spot to trigger her waking up. It should not be that hard, like I said I did not have that problem before. It is not likely anyone made a save after the countess was pushed because you go to a cut scene then game over. Sorry about that I gave it a shot.

We try Rushes, I know how frustrating something like that can be. Even though it is the end point we like seeing the conclusion.

Call me hard headed, stubborn or whatever, I refused to give up.

Check your e-mail Oldman I will get a save out to you in a few minutes. The save is when Lauren wakes up. You will need to walk to the balcony to shove the old bat. Or you can do this, watch the you tube walk through. The last scene shows you what you have to do. I played this game when it first came out in 2007 and totally forgot that last step. Simple when you see it and smack yourself in the head for not thinking about it. The video starts with a short commercial.

Last scene

Here is a link for the entire video walk through

Entire Walk Through

You will want to watch the credits when you finish the game because the people who did the voice acting are shown with their names and pictures.

Aren't you glad I am a hard head?

Thank you so very much oldmariner for being a hard head lol. I watched the youtube ending and realized what my obvious mistake was.

I didn't realize that Joey could travel past the balcony railing. crazy

Your persistance is greatly appreciated. One always likes to be able to play a game to the very final ending.

No problem glad I could help. We need to send a message to Dave Gilbert asking him how the Countess could have met her demise by going over the balcony while she like Joey can simply float away.
