Since they must overwinter, I don't think pots would work very well - especially in Ana's zone. I get at least 6 or 7 different varieties... My favorite is Transylvania. I had to get it for the name alone, but the bulbs are very large and the taste is very "big." They advertise it as having a bit of a "bite!" But Susanville is also a very good one, along with Siberian, Inchelilum Red and several others. I see how each of them does in my climate and growing conditions. I would look at a small sampler. I always get some elephant garlic too. It is awesome roasted. You could definitely tuck them in between the flowers!
