I don't think this is a spoiler at all but did anyone else see the "ghost" in the computer monitor in the office at Harri's house? I swear I see a man in it. Am I crazy? LOL

Sounds like something that could happen, I am sure someone that has finished can say if they saw it too.

My theory

The ghost you see is possibly the reflection of a shirtless gentleman sitting in a chair in the room as Mikael takes his pictures for this game. There is a picture on a wall in another location of the game that could just be your mystery ghost. He looks very familiar as if he was in one of the other Carol Reed games. What is more interesting in the screen that you see the ghost in, is whats in the middle of the bookcase...see anything familiar? I do want to mention that this is quite the computer/library room whose ever it is in real life..

The following are only screenshots from within the game and have no Spoilers in them. They are for you to see the Ghost that DocPaul refers to and the very interesting item on the shelf.

I had thought it was a shirtless man but I wondered if my old eyes were just seeing things. I wonder if this man travels with Michael everywhere pics are made. He might be the Muse.

I hadn’t noticed this before, and neither had any of the beta testers.

I was alone in the apartment when taking the pictures. I had been slightly hesitant about shooting at that location, since a person had died there the week before - sitting in that very same chair that is reflected in the monitor.

Except that isn’t really true smile. The shirtless man is the person who lives in the apartment. He’s the same guy that plays Roy later in the game.

The man in the picture on the wall is Eleen’s father, and just as GreyFuss points out, he’s been in an earlier game (Black Circle).

I get reflections like the one in the monitor all the time. It’s part of the everyday process to remove them in Photoshop. I simply missed this one. Having this pointed out here started a discussion between me and Eleen whether to remove it in future versions or not. What do you say?

lol rotfl

I love to examine every photo in the Carol Reed games very closely and I would have never seen that reflection if it wasn't for DocPaul pointing it out. Hands down to you DocPaul for catching it. praise

I also say, leave them in, but now that you know we may be looking this could be a chance for Mikael to play with us a bit in what we might see. grin

It took me 30 seconds to a minute to see the reflection, and, like Greyfuss, I only saw it because DocPaul assured me it was there.

Time to clean the screen before Cold Case Summer comes in the mail.

Well, thanks all.
I say leave them in there. They are like the old time Easter Eggs that developers used to put in games and make them fun to revisit, looking for something fresh.
I finished this game and it was another real winner. I loved the photography at Nimis and in the desert scenes. These games are such a fresh breath of air and they are one of the few games that I really wait all year for the next one to come along.
And this game is the only game that has ever made me cry out "AHHH!!!" in surprise and fear at one point. I laughed so hard when I recovered but it scared the heck out of me.
And I really enjoyed having Mikael make a cameo appearance in this one.
Paul
