I just want to give a shout-out for a game that I've recently played and enjoyed - it doesn't seem to have had much press.
It's called AstroLocl: Worst Contact
and, as you might guess from the title, it's a comedy sci-fi game (of which you can't possibly have too many in my opinion!). The graphics are very simple but the music and voice acting are good quality, and it's a very funny game - especially if you're a science-fiction fan obviously. It also features a narrator that even the guy from King's Quest would consider to be outrageously sarcastic!
It's quite a short game and quite easy, but its bagloads of fun and available for a low price. If you're interested check out the Hungry Games Website
which lists all the digital distribution platforms it's available on, screenshots, playable demo (Act I - there are 3 acts in the game, the first naturally being the shortest - it should give you a good indication of whether you'll enjoy the game or not).Other fun facts:
- I voice 2 characters in the game (small roles - a convoy captain and a doctor)
- In the developer commentary, they mention this and find it amusing since as creator of the Captain Disaster games they consider me to be their "mortal enemy" (although the do revise this to us having a "friendly rivalry" almost straight afterwards)
