Cross off the words in the list below according to the instructions given. Rearrange the remaining words to form a quote. The quote should be posted as the last answer.

ample but canopy comes crescent elixir emigrant hammock happenchance inane knowledge laughter libraries lingers lost nest offend old rhino thralldom undercover underplay vicinity wisdom zucchini

Cross off the word that...

-1. has the same vowel/consonant pattern as BULL'S-EYE
-2. Would leave two opposites if you replaced its C with a space
-3. is dialed on a telephone keypad as a series of ascending digits
-4. is Pig Latin for a word meaning steal
-5. forms a new word when its first half is replaced with QUAD
-6. becomes a new word when all of it's C's are removed
-7. contains all of its letters exactly twice
-8. can be split in half to form two new three-letter words
-9. becomes a new word if its first two letters are swapped
-10. is composed of two overlapping signs of the zodiac
-11. is an anagram of a popular musical
-12. is the only word in the list with a letter repeated three times
-13. uses only letters from the middle twelve letters of the alphabet
-14. would form a new word if each of its letters is alphabetically reflected (A to Z, B to Y, etc.)
-15. alternates between odd and even letters of the alphabet (and is four letters or more)
-16. would spell a new word if you inserted ARROW somewhere inside it
-17. contains (consecutively) three consecutive letters of the alphabet
-18. can have an S added to the beginning and still spell a word
-19. would name a punctuation mark if you deleted its first and last letters and reversed the result
-20. is still a word if you read only its even letters

Excellent answers! wave

Doreen and Flo (#18), while the answers seem to work, they don't in the overall solution. smile
