If you like it grungy, cynical, and blonde (the platinum type) and drenched in a jazzy, smoky soundtrack then check out

I played part of the demo and my instant gripe was being preached at. I don't like it.
From the part of it I did play, I imagine your review is right on, flotsam.

I still have the demo o my desk top as I still have not been able to get the small trap door open next to apartment where I hear the conversations. If I start out needing help with just a small part of the game I don't know if there is much help continuing. I may still buy it but I am on the fence.

Lexxy, I think that's a tricky part of the game. Where flotsam says I also never have warmed to the supposedly realistic “lets open the draw by clicking, holding, and pulling the mouse backwards” approach to game interactions -- he's talking about things like the trap door where you have to "grab" it with the mouse and pull it certain directions. If you check this video at around 14min 15sec into it, you can see how you're expected to wrestle with the trap door. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Rp3rgSg40g

Yes, it's a two-parter. HERE'S the thread that refers to it.

Thanks for the review, Jenny and flotsam. An enjoyable game so far, and I think that the review is fair and accurate. Looking forward to the sequel if there is one.
