I am almost positive I have a bad virus in my computer and want to reinstall windows 7. I do not have it backed up at all. I would like to know if I can just back up 2 downloaded games by themselves without backing up the whole computer, because I think it is curropt. I did not play these games and don't want to loose them. Thanks Bill

Have you tried to get rid of this virus by running a scan with your anti-virus software? How about running a deep scan with the free version of Malwarebytes?

No need to throw the baby out with the bathwater - as my grandma used to say - if you don't have to.

Depending on the virus, you may reintroduce it when you restore your data files.

Give Drac's advice a shot - use Malwarebytes.

Bill: I was shown this great site by a Gameboomer. If you can identify your virus from the examples,it shows you the exact steps to take to get rid of it.It helped me get rid of the V9 virus.
