'~,.,~'`'~,.,~'`'~,.,~'`'~,.,~' Those who've played the previous episodes will no doubt play the last as well... But does the last episode of Erica Reed's adventure hold up to the promise of the earlier episodes? How does the series stand up as a whole? Find out in flotsam's review of (¯`’·.¸ (¯`’·.¸ Cognition 4: The Cain Killer ¸.·’´¯) ¸.·’´¯): – (¯`’·.¸(¯`’·.¸¸.·’´¯)¸.·’´¯) – :

Thanks flotsam (and Jenny100) I haven't played any of this game yet as I'm STILL waiting for the "all chapters" disk version I pledged for via "kickstarter" !!

flotsam,
Maybe I'm dense but I don't see how you can give a game a C+, say the third part was 'middling filler' and the fourth part short, far fetched and disappointing, then recommend we play it.
"A disappointing last episode shouldn’t detract from everything that went before."
Why not? Would you be saying that if it were the unsatisfying ending of a game that hadn't been doled out piecemeal?

Well I'm one of the ones who played the game through from Chapter 1 - 4 as one complete game.
Therefore, I don't judge the game chapter at a time but rather the whole game as a complete entity and I thoroughly enjoyed the game.
In my opinion the chapters are not stand alone and therefore should not be rated separately.
It's rather like judging Jack without Jill, or Laurel without Hardy.
That said my opinion of the game, as a whole, is that it deserves probably a B or B+.
I believe that flotsam did mention something similar in this review.

Yes, you're right MaG, the C+ was for the last episode. But does that change anything? I get the distinct impression that Phoenix Online didn't plot the entire game at the start of development. Either that, or they changed so much as they went along that they had to come up with "far fetched" solutions because they just couldn't think of a way to solve the dilemma they'd gotten themselves into otherwise. I really can't think of an excuse for "short".
oldman, I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
