I just spoke to the rehab vet and they are squeezing Merlin in tomorrow. They are confident they can do something for him.

Edit: Daughter is going to a forward deployment unit in the states...although she could, she most likely will not actually deploy overseas...but will provide support for those that are. We shall see.

Ana, I can relate....like I said, we spent the Christmas gift money on Keoki but he is worth it. He and I are just back from a walk...windy eek......up to about 2/3 mile with no adverse effects at all.

Daughter's hubby cannot go with her...he is also active duty. So he will be busy with the dogs and cats and she will be busy with long days. They are hoping to get together from time to time, and of course, with today's face time, skype, cell calls they will be able to stay in touch.

I remember when Soot was stationed in Japan quite awhile back. I was here waiting for housing to open so I could join him. Phone calls were $1.00 plus per minute...and of course, no email, net, etc in those days. Times have certainly changed.
