For some reason that I have not figured out yet, every now and again I get onto my computer to access my favorite sites only to find that I'm no longer signed on. It doesn't happen every day, but every once in a while. This weekend we were away for several days. The computer was turned off when we left, we had no power outages, not even a "blink" (the kind that make you go and change all the digital clocks in the house since they're now all blinking 12:00). But here I am again, logging back into all the sites all over again. This is the second time this has happened in the past few months.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
The answer is....chocolate! Who cares what the question is.....

Are you running CCleaner? That will wipe off any cookies for website sign ins if you haven't moved them to "ignore" in CCleaner.

I was signed out of this site today. Have it on the "leave this cookie alone" list for ccleaner, but haven't used ccleaner. Am using firefox. Go figure.

Thank you, MaG for keeping abreast of our posts, as always But as long as I can always log myself back in I don't consider this to be a massive problem. Really it's just a minor inconvenience

And why does it only affect some computers? I've been coming and out for almost a week now in both IE and Firefox and have only had to sign in once out of dozens and dozens of times.

The only thing I noticed was the "check" in the box to "remember me" sometimes disappears and that seems to be what logs me out.

It has to be a microsoft or browser update we did because I am having the same problem. It happens at least twice a week on all my websites for the last few weeks. I was thinking it was me, and keep running malware and other cleaners to see if I had a virus. It's definitely not a GameBoomers issue as it's all my websites I get signed out of.

Just found myself logged off here at GameBoomers; I'm still signed in on the other sites that I use frequently. I signed in again and I had no problem going from one forum to another: I stay signed in.
No big deal; I just thought I'd mention it since others are having problems.

I don't understand why in my case I log on to the forum page first and then I go to the trading post and in just a matter of five minutes it tells me I am not logged in. I found a few games at the trading post I want to purchase but I don't know if I"ll be logged off again.

I've been having trouble here, too, for the past couple of weeks. I was logged out both yesterday and today. It's only happening on Gameboomers.

I'm sure this has MaG and her IT guys completely frustrated and perplexed. I do not have the problem in Firefox 27.0.1 or in IE 11 on Windows 8.1 It might help if when you guys post that you're having the issue that you include your browser and your OS. Maybe there is some commonality that might help. Maybe it's a specific add-on that I don't happen to have, but then I keep my browsers pretty clean of extensions and add-ons. Who knows...
