I have a friend who needs a new computer... she wants to play big fish games.. Hidden Objects games.. thing is she doesn't want to spend lots of money for a dedicated graphics card. Would those of you playing these games please post here the name and model of your computer so I can research the video card you are using.. so I can see if we can get by with an integrated graphics card. Make and model number... thank you for your help.

If you still have the email I sent you, this is my experience with the integrated video. Virtually all of them are integrated into the processor, not the motherboard now. But that hasn't made them any better. Hopefully you will get some more feedback from others here. If all she does is play Big Fish games, getting one with an integrated video chip in the CPU will probably work. However, at the low end of the cost spectrum, they are pretty awful and she may have problems in the future. Even some adventure games won’t play well on them. To be honest, if she plans on having this computer for a long time with email, internet and a few Big Fish games she will be fine with one of the junky ones from Best Buy. Of course, she will be forced to get Windows 8.1 whereas if she had one built, she could get Windows 7. With one from a retailer, she will not get her operating system disk either and of course will get the dreaded massive bloatware on a new computer. A low-end Core i3 processor with a GTX 640 video card would be $530 plus the operating system. eCollegePC gets $109 for the OS, but if you watch the sales at Newegg, you can pick up Windows 7 for $80. Or she could go down to the Pentium G3220 processor with the GTX 640 video card for $475 plus the OS. The G3220 is a pretty decent processor for low end, but she shouldn’t expect it to do more than play Big Fish games, movies etc. I’ve put it on a couple of builds where the people don’t even do Big Fish games and it’s fine for that kind of usage. There are pros and cons, so you will just have to evaluate her money, usage and skills!

2GB GeForce GT 640 GDDR3 PCI-E DVI/HDMI (Major Brand) With that Video card and you are worried about playing Casual Games = Do not worry you will play Casual games with ease, that Vid. card is X times more powerful than my Lappy Vid card and I have zero problems playing Casual games. Good luck and have fun..

I have two computers, one that I play games on and the other that I use for everything else. Occasionally I use the internet one for gaming and the integrated video card overheats. I would not get one if you want my personal experience. Ana

I hoped you get more feedback too.
If she's willing to pay that much, the only thing I would change is the power supply. I've had them put the stock one in a couple of builds for folks that don't do anything but email, but I'd definitely recommend upping it to a better one. Doesn't have to be much, just better than that one.

Ok, I am getting ready to order this for my friend... the only thing I changed was went with win 7 not 8... she is very concerned about getting 8 and since I am not in California I want to make her as comfortable as possible. I went with win 7 64 bit. any reason I should do 32 bit??

Looks great for casual gaming to me. No reason to go for 32-bit Windows 7 - it won't be able to see or use any more than a bit over 3 GB of RAM.
