I didn't experience any problems with saves. Is it a picture save system? If so, you may have run out of room and have to overwrite another save. Are you doing "Save As" rather than "Save" and giving each save a title?

Yep, took me awhile figure out why that thing stopped between floors.

As to your save problem.......I don't recall any problems with MYST in that regard although many games won't allow you to save while in the middle of a puzzle/maze. Still, shouldn't always have to go back to the beginning when accessing a save. Maybe LadyKestrel has the answer there.

Yes, I am doing 'Save As'.

I'll try and see if I can find a way around the difficulty by deleting/overwriting some of the other saves that I have and don't need any more.
