hmmmm that bridge wasn't very hard to do. A little trial and error and it was easy. Does anyone know wether or not there was supposed the be a mathematical pattern one should do?

Hi gronmo,

For the Ansala leaf puzzle - this is what I found:

This puzzle is played against the computer. The computer randomly adds a certain number of segments to what you add.

The plant on the left needs 9 segments, the middle needs 13 segments and the right plant needs 10 segments.

One of the ways to trap the computer is to leave segments for the computer that are divisible by 4, ex. 4, 8 or 12.

Since the computer segments are random:

Shoot green on left plant to have one segment, leaving 8 for the computer.

Shoot green on middle plant to have one segment, leaving 12 for the computer.

Shoot yellow on right plant to have two segment, leaving 8 for the computer.

The computer will add its segment.

Count the segments on each plant and then add enough to leave a number divisible by 4.

Remember that the blue makes three segments, the yellow - two and the green - one segment.

If this is the puzzle with the four vertical dials, it is the one Tally referred to when he said
Quote:

If you turned off the blue laser, then you can walk into an area that was blocked by the laser. Go there, and explore until you find a window you can look through. There, you will see the back side of the locked gate you are trying to open with the four dials. The four rods are controlled by the dials. The gaps must align with the lock.
The dials open a locked door.
If you don't go around and find that window that shows you the back of the door, so you can see the effects of turning each dial, I don't think you'll ever solve it.

I was talking about the second organic bridge. The one with rising and falling leaves. It wasn't really hard to do but I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a real pattern to it. I'm currently stuck in the village where I have to do the patched up skin puzzle (multi colored segments sewn together that makes sounds when you click them).

The skin is just part of another puzzle. Walk around a bit more on all the different levels of the village.

The flower petal bridge puzzle is just to me finding the sequence that works. Have fun!

Hi Gronmo -

That patchwork is just a clue - what color goes with what sound.

There will be another clue; what color goes with what pattern.

There will finally be a puzzle, four colors provided; you select pattern and sound.

I just fell through a few times until the pattern became easy enough to remember. Then I saved the game and getting through was easy.

I've escaped from the prison now and went on the transport. After looking around in the new area I'm stuck again. I don't know what to do. I see that I can switch some force fields on and off but thats about it.

Start from the beginning when there's no forcefield up yet. Take the right path from the gondola (not the statue path).

Follow the perimeter and see the ancient symbol similar to Arco's door.
Note that the drawing has concentric circles. Also Sen staed something about the oracle.

You now have to follow the pattern of the ancient symbol - circle within the circle - without backtracking and going through any forcefield.

BTW - this includes going down the Galleries of heroes.

All I did was constantly rotate between the timers. I just figured that one of the was a starting point, moved to the very next one and then the third and that worked. Once you get all three bars open you can relax, they don't reset.

I checked different variations. The only one that works to stop the bars from retracting is:
Top first, middle and bottom bars.
If you did the bottom, middle and then top - it doesn't work.
If you did middle and then any of the other bars - it also doesn't work.

Here's the solution I found.

I solved it by accident because I thought I hadn't been fast enough and was going to skip the running part and just do the timer part, hopefully quicker the second time around. Only I found the second timer was inaccessible, when it would surely have run out if I'd gone straight for the door.

Here's the solution I ended up with

I started with the timer at the top left button,
then the timer at the bottom left button,
then the timer at the bottom right button,
then did the timer at the top left button again,
then used the top right button and ran for the door.

At least it worked with me. I think using the timer at the top left button the second time may have stopped the clock, but I'm not sure.

Anybody got any advice on what to do with the symbol-thingy when you go down the underwater elevator? I'm guessing the top symbols are numbers, but I have no idea how the bottom symbols are supposed to relate. Any hints?

Cheers

The symbols on the buttons are indeed numbers, they are 0, 1, 2, 3. Numbers in the base four.

The other three symbols are clues. Wandering around the village, you should have found three signposts, each with a collection of one of those symbols. Count them. It's HOW MANY symbols on each signpost that you need to punch in the numbers.

decimal to base four:

0 = 000
1 = 001
2 = 002
3 = 003
4 = 010
5 = 011
6 = 012
7 = 013
8 = 020
9 = 021
10 = 022
11 = 023
12 = 030
13 = 031
14 = 032
15 = 033
16 = 100

I'm still having problems with this one. Can you explain a bit closer about which route I'm supposed to run?

Hi gronmo,

Take the right path (not statue path) from the gondola.

Go around the perimeter. Sen notes the ancient symbol at one of the perimeter node and ponders about the Oracle. Note the concentric circles.

Once you reach the statue, take the inner right path and circle the park following the concentric circles in the ancient symbol.

After the second circle, take the middle path that goes down to the central lower level Galleries of Heroes. Walk to the end of the gallery and then go back up.

Turn right to the outer perimeter node. A cutscene will show a gondola coming up.

Turn right to the ancient sign node and ride the gondola.

Click on the link to see a full-sized photo-map of the Museum. Go through the force-fields in numerical order:

There is at least one more path for the museum gates...perhaps more.

Just in case you need another one - this is what I have been using - base- n calculator.

I'm stuck at the third clue on the crate. Ugh!

Ok, Jenny, then I won't bother to post the link I found. But I did notice that the calculator at the bottom of your page says it is to convert to base 2, but if you change the 2 to 12, you can use it for base 12 conversions...

Mohawk - There are 2 doors like that - you have to connect unbroken from left to right a line of current. I will mail you some more info.
