I have a system mechanic5 disk that I have installed on my xp just wonder if it will work on my win 7. I really like it.

Even if it would work on your Windows 7, I wouldn't recommend it either. I've had to remove it from several computers because of the issues it caused. Version 5 is very old.

Thanks Draclvr I will leave it on my xp. I never use the xp much. I just use it as a backup incase something goes wrong with my 7. I haven't turned it on in over a month. I don't even like the looks of it anymore. I never thought I would ever get used to win 7 but I really like it.

I was the same way, Richard. I dearly loved my XP and still have it for the same reason you do. But now it looks and feels old and clunky when I boot it up... never thought I'd feel that way.

Have you discovered how to put any number of wonderful pictures on your desktop? Right click and select Personalize. There are a few good ones already there, but if you click on Get More Themes Online, there are hundreds of them - I'm using one called Milky Way right now, but will soon be switching to a Halloween one.


Once again, weeds are my life!
