You're welcome, robert. Glad you finally found the hotspot! Marian is correct, the game autosaves at certain points. You'll know when you see an image of a gray flashing floppy disk in the bottom right corner that the game is being saved.

First make sure you try and catch her at least once. Hold down the F key, and when she goes past, click on her with the mouse, which should look like a hand icon. After Zoe misses her the first time, hold the F key once again as the dreamer falls. This time, when you hover the mouse over her, the three circle icon should appear. Click on that, and you will be presented with several options. Click on the bottom icon that looks like an hourglass to slow down time. The dreamer will start falling very slowly. At this point, you will have to click on her once again when the mouse presents you with a hand icon. (You can also check out Cry's video once again starting at about 12 minutes in to see a visual if you'd like.) After dealing with this dreamer, your upcoming Storytime scenarios should go more smoothly. If not, feel free to ask me again.

Okay, I went back to a saved game and did some experimenting. The first time you have to click on the dreamer, it appears you don't have to press the F key at all. Just click on her as she falls, and allow Zoe to miss her once. The second time, it looks as though you do have to press the F key. However, once you're pressed it once to track her, you do not have to hold it down. I just assumed you did, as that is what I was doing to make sure the scenario worked properly. So you can press the F key when she is at the beginning of her fall, then move your hand to the mouse and click to bring up the scroll wheel. You will have to be a little bit quick - she may be closer to the bottom of her fall - but once you click on her, she will freeze, and you can press the bottom hourglass icon. When she slows down, click on her again to catch her. She will be falling slowly at that point, which should give you a bit more time. If it's hard to coordinate the first time, just try it again. Unfortunately, I don't see any way of using the keyboard instead of the left mouse button. I tried assigning different keys to see if that could be an alternative, but I couldn't get the keys I selected to work in game. I'll try and play around with it a bit more when I get more time. In the meantime, if you think you can get the above method to work for you, go ahead and give it a try. Once you get past this part, you shouldn't have any more trouble with these sequences. There is one more section where you will have to run and close a door quickly, but you will have endless opportunities, and you can use the mouse entirely for that one. By the way, are you using the right mouse key to move around? Or the wasd? If you're not using the mouse method, you may want to try it when that part comes up. Pressing and holding both mouse buttons will allow you to run, and you can swerve the mouse like a camera while you do so. Don't worry, most of the game is very slow paced and allows you to take your time. There are only two sections - the falling dreamer and the closing door section - where there is a timing element involved. And none of the game requires the dexterity the original Dreamfall did.

Venus posted this earlier: The game autosaves at certain points. You'll know when you see an image of a gray flashing floppy disk in the bottom right corner that the game is being saved. So the only way of invoking an autosave is to make enough progress in the game to move you to the next savepoint -- wherever that is. So keep playing until you see the flashing floppy disk image. I haven't played the game, so cannot say how frequently these occur. Perhaps venus or another will be able to tell us. So in other words -- wandering around without solving any puzzles or triggering critical dialogue will not lead to an autosave point. You'll need to be progressing to the point where the game deems it necessary to save. (Frustrating!)

Thanks, Rushes. @Robert, glad you were able to make it past the falling dreamer. I took a look at my past saved games, and it looks like the next save occurs very soon afterward. Move Zoe and the camera to the left after you're finished speaking with the first dreamer. You will see a hotspot over the ledge labeled Darkness. Click the hand icon on that, and Zoe will walk to it. You will be in front of dreamer number 2, and the game will autosave for you.

UruKat, I agree! As I've said before, this is the best game I've played in years, and I've played some especially good ones. I can't wait to see where the story is going in the next episode. As to your question, you only get the algae puzzle (part of Zoe's alternate career path) if you make a particular choice in the Storytime section. Not to get into too many spoilers, but when you have the option to choose "The path that might be" or "The path that once was," your path will diverge, depending on your choice. From what you've said, you chose "The path that might be." If you want to see the other career path for Zoe, go back again and choose "The path that once was." The game stores all of your autosaves, so you can just click load and scroll down to the save right before you made that choice. Keep in mind, though, that when you start Book 2, it will take your last playthrough as "cannon." So if you do play again but prefer your original choice(s), just go back to a save close to the end of your original playthrough and finish that section. It shouldn't take too long. Then you can continue on with Book 2 based on your original choices.

Robert, where are you exactly? Have you gotten to the next Dreamer? If so, you can run up to him, and then you will get a wheel where you are able to speak with him. You don't autosave yourself. The game does it for you at specific points.
If you haven't gotten to the next dreamer, make sure you look over the ledge to Zoe's left and find the Darkness hotspot. It looks similar to the hotspot you found for the first dreamer. Click on that spot, and a wheel will appear. You can look at it first with the eye icon if you'd like. After that, click on the hand icon, and you will automatically be in front of dreamer number 2, at which point an autosave will occur.

Hi, Robert. So by your question, I assume you've already guided him past the three lamps, and now he's cowering under one after they've all turned off again? If so, you want to walk over and click on the icon that looks like a head, which is the mind reading icon. Zoe will make a statement that he is one one blocking his own light. After that, click on him again and use the icon that looks like a sun. He will light up, and then you can click and drag him toward the light to send him there. If you haven't gotten this far yet, and you've only just walked up to the dreamer, let me know, and I will guide you through the lamp puzzle if you need it.

Okay, talk to the man first. Then walk forward toward the first lamp. Move the camera up to the lamp and click on it. The icon wheel will appear. Choose the sun icon, which will light the lamp. Move onto the next lamp. Once Zoe and the dreamer finish their conversation, stand in front of the lamp number two. Bring up the icon wheel again, and choose the sun icon once more. Zoe will say that the lamp will not stay lit for long. Quickly click to bring up the icon wheel, and choose the hourglass icon this time. Time will slow down, and the lamp will stay lit. (You have fairly ample time with this second lamp if you know what you have to do, but just in case you miss the first time, just try it again.) Move onto the third lamp, and once Zoe and the dreamer have finished the conversation, choose the sun icon for the last time. The lights will shut off, and the dreamer will cower in the corner. From there, you can follow my instructions in the previous post if you need to.
