I put a movie dvd in my dvd drive and nothing happens. I am expecting the movie to automatically come up and start playing or at least have the player come up so I can click play. Whats up?

Yes Geo I was amazed that the media Center was not included with win8. VLC is working great though.

Ok that worked. One more question,how do I get the very useful "organize" on the toolbar in file explorer as it was on windows explorer?

Click on View for lots more options.

It was under the "Home" tab not the view tab but thanks for getting me in the right area.

Oh, my! Just set it up to boot to your desktop and you will no longer need to shriek! I set someone up today who felt like you do. When I left, he was very, very happy with his Windows 8.1!

I am more than happy with going directly to my desktop.

Me too, Winfrey. Now that I can pin apps to my taskbar and desktop, I probably don't see the Start page once a week.
