This may need to go to Glitches? I am supposed to hit the ESC on computer to save game. When I do this it just keeps coming back to the same place & not the main menu. Am I doing something wrong?

If you press ESC while you playing the game the cabin main menu appears. The Main Menu looks like the inside of a cabin. When you click on the monitor that is on the top of the wall - you should see frames. Then you click on an empty frame or to overwrite click on a picture you want overwrite on.

You can also click on the control panel by the chair and that will return you to the game you left. This might be what you're doing.

A magic genie came during the midnight hours & waved a wand. The ESC button is now working!! Now my problem is connecting wires in the mine electric panel to make the wheel turn. I have the glove on but the cursor does not click on to any of the wires. I also do not have visual diaglog. When I go to the options I have all these colored lines but nothing happens when I click on them. When the dialog is going on during the game I have a panel with those same lines, no words, I can click on them for the dialog but no written words. Is this a Glitch dept. problem.

Take another look at the options menu - it took me two or three tries to figure out how to 'adjust the settings' for anything - there are (white) spaces at each end of a setting bar and when I wanted to adjust my sound settings I found that by clicking on the left (white) part it decreased a sound setting and the right part increased a sound setting. The same idea should work for the other settings too. Hope this helps

I can't find the Altimonorail! I have been walking
round & round & the only 2 buildings the little feet take me to only show me a map. I think I have done everything I am supposed to do up to this point. Pharmacy OK & everything prior to that point. The WT says I must go to the altimonorail to get to the Academy (maybe if I was sure I was going on the right side of the rotunda, what is around there that would indicate a rotunda. I know the pet store, the communications, I think everything in the city, balloonist mrket stall. Help help.

The building that shows you the map IS the altimonorail. You click on the Academy and Ariane says something like: "Do I want to go there?" Then you click on the Academy again and she says: "Okay, let's go," and you'll see a cutscene with her getting in the tram car.

Now I am stuck sort of on the floating island. When I first got there & talked to Adam I said I needed to go back & get something (what I have no idea) so I left the island, went back & tried to talk to everyone but nothing came up, so went back to floating island. According to WT supposed to fix the breach in the barrier by going around the island & finding a halo w/dirty lens. I try going over & around the island & nothing is letting me find a halo w/dirty lens. Is it because there is something else I needed to do before getting on the island or am I just not looking in the right place?

If you're sure you've done everything, then ignore what Adam says.

You should find the dirty halo whether you finished or not finished anything yet.

- just turn right while facing Adam - go 2 clicks and look on the ground. The halo is on the ground. It should be dark unlike the others.

Well, I finally got her around to the right & down a path BUT the cursor/hand was pointed to the dark disclike thing on the ground. She was standing by what looked like a flower, could not budge her from there but had the veg lens out of inventory & SHE put it in the flower like thingy, now I can't budge her from this spot, have no little footprints.

I got stuck in a hole right there also - had to revert to a saved game; the next time I didn't hit the hole, and was able to continue. I think if you are trapped there, there is no way out.

I had the same thing happen in another newer game just this week.

I have the dumbest problems in games!! I just got off the sub, went to talk to the giant gave him the seeds from Angus, he gave me the message for Angus, but nothing lets me give the message to him. I tried going in the mine without the pass but could not get in. I even went back to a saved game but that didn't work.

I also am not able to read the message-does that matter. I have never gotten my options fixed for visual dialogue so cannot read any of the stuff in the computer, alto the docs pictures show up, except for the last line in the list of mail, docs, etc. Could that be the problem. Fortunately, she ususally repeats what the letter, or email says so I can pretty much tell what they said. The WT says to read the message to Angus, which the game will not let me do but it is in the WT. Does it matter that I'm not reading the message? I haven't had this problem before, just blundered thru without visual dialogue.

You just need to give the message to the captain - not read it. You might need to move Ariane around the captain again to position her to be able to give the message to the captain. Good luck!

Still trying this AM & no luck. Can I just move her out in the water!! Also, when leaving the village on the way to the sub, according to WT there is a hotspot in middle of ground. I never found that. Would that have any affect on my problem giving Angus note from giant in mine? I know it has sometimes been hard to position Ariane but this is really beginning to bug me.

Mome -- congratulations on getting things fixed!

I just replayed this part of the game, and you do have to read the note, after which it goes into the computer. It stays in your inventory until you talk to the captain. You DON'T have to hand it to the captain, however. When you talk to him the dialogue box shows a new topic: "Message". You click on that and off you go.

FINALLY got the ball puzzle. Now, as I have said before I have the dumbest problems. When I took her to the bookcase to check out the diamond book & turned her supposedly to go the door to get out, she is stuck, with her back to the bookcase & her front sort of wedged into the metal table top & she won't budge an inch. I have feetsy going toward the sink but she just stands there with her hand on her hip, picking lint off her sweater. I swear I'm going to slap her hand off her hip. Anyway, she won't move. Is this a glitch.

Oh Dear. There seem to be three or four places where you can get physically stuck in a hole. You have found one I didn't know about. (There is one on the floating island, and one in the original cave, and one in the mine where the dynamite is.)

If you can't budge her, you will have to use a saved game. Horrors! If you didn't save immediately after the Ball Puzzle, you will have to do it again, and it's randomized, bless their evil little hearts. At least you know how to do it now.

Tally Ho -- since you are keeping track of holes: there is also one by the submarine when it is parked outside the giant's world. You can walk right into the middle of one of the benches and get stuck.
